This article is for account owners and social media managers who want visibility into Social Planner activity.

What Social Planner Notifications Do

Social Planner notifications keep account users informed about key social posting events.

Supported Notification Types

  • Account pre-expiry reminders

  • Account expired alerts

  • Post approval requests

  • Post approved confirmations

  • Post rejected alerts

  • Post failed alerts

Notifications are delivered via email and can be customized per event.

Access Social Planner Notification Settings

Steps

  1. Go to Marketing.

  2. Select Social Planner.

  3. Click the Settings (gear icon) next to New Post.

  4. Open the Notifications tab.

Result:
All Social Planner notification settings are available for editing.

Edit Account Pre-Expiry Notifications

Pre-expiry notifications remind users to refresh an expiring social account connection.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Account Pre-Expiry.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select the account users who should receive the reminder.

  5. Set the reminder frequency.

  6. Choose an email template.

  7. Save changes.


Note:
Users can refresh the connection from the integration page.

Edit Account Expired Notifications

Account expired notifications alert users when a social account connection must be reconnected.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Account Expired.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select the account users to notify.

  5. Set the reminder frequency.

  6. Choose an email template.

  7. Save changes.


Edit Request for Post Approval Notifications

Request-for-approval notifications are sent when a scheduled post requires review.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Request for Approval.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select an email template.

  5. Save changes.


Edit Approved Post Notifications

Approved post notifications confirm when a scheduled post is approved.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Post Approved.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select an email template.

  5. Save changes.


Edit Rejected Post Notifications

Rejected post notifications inform users when a post is not approved.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Post Rejected.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select an email template.

  5. Save changes.


Edit Failed Post Notifications

Failed post notifications alert users when a post does not publish successfully.

Steps

  1. Open Social Planner > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Locate Post Failed.

  3. Click the pencil icon.

  4. Select an email template.

  5. Save changes.


Change the Default Email Template for Notifications

Notification templates are managed from the Emails section.

Steps

  1. Go to Emails > Templates.

  2. Click New.

  3. Select Email Marketing Template.

  4. Open the System Template library.

  5. Load a system template.

  6. Edit the template content.

  7. Save the template.

  8. Return to Social Planner > Notifications.

  9. Assign the new template to the desired notification.


Result:
The selected template becomes the default for that notification type.
