Getting Started: Set Up Social Planner

Use Social Planner to connect social accounts, create posts, schedule content, use templates, and manage publishing from one place.

Open Social Planner

To access Social Planner:

  1. Go to Marketing.

  2. Click Social Planner.

You can explore Social Planner before connecting any social accounts.


What You Can Do Before Connecting Social Accounts

Before connecting accounts, you can preview and prepare several workflows.

Available options include:

  • Schedule Now — Open the post composer and scheduling flow.

  • Upload A CSV — Start bulk scheduling with a CSV file.

  • Create Evergreen Post — Build reusable posts for an evergreen queue.

  • Create Recurring Post — Set up repeating posts.

  • Create RSS Post — Create posts automatically from an RSS feed.


Connect a Social Account

Publishing requires at least one connected social account.

To connect an account:

  1. Click the social platform you want to connect.

  2. Follow the authorization prompts.

  3. Grant the required permissions.

  4. Select the pages or profiles you want to connect.

  5. Confirm the connection.


Select Facebook Pages During Authorization

When connecting Facebook, select the Facebook pages Kyrios should manage.

At least one page must be selected to continue.


Verify Connected Facebook Pages

After authorization, connected Facebook pages appear in the Social Planner connection list. Use this page to confirm:

  • Page name

  • Token validity

  • Page type

  • Available actions


Create Posts Using Templates

Templates let you start from prebuilt social post designs.

To open templates:

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Click New Post.

  3. Select Social Planner Templates.


Browse the Template Library

In the Template Library, you can:

  • Search for a template

  • Filter by category

  • View all templates

  • View your templates

  • View shared templates

  • Open favorites


Continue with a Selected Template

After selecting a template:

  1. Preview the template content.

  2. Click Continue.


Schedule a Template Post

After selecting a template, assign the social account and schedule.

  1. Open the Content tab.

  2. Click Template Library if needed.

  3. Click Select Socials.

  4. Choose the social account.

  5. Select the posting days, number of posts, and time range.

  6. Click Schedule Posts.


Create a Custom Post

To create a custom post:

  1. Go to Marketing → Social Planner.

  2. Click New Post.

  3. Select Create New Post.


Compose and Publish a Custom Post

In the post composer:

  1. Select the social account under Post to.

  2. Add your post text.

  3. Add media if needed.

  4. Review the post preview.

  5. Choose one publishing option:

    • Post Now

    • Schedule Post

    • Send Post for Approval

    • Schedule Recurring Posts

    • Save for later


Add Media and Preview the Post

Use the image or video icons in the composer to add media. When media is added, the post preview updates so you can review how the post will appear before publishing.


Edit a Video Thumbnail

To edit a video thumbnail:

  1. Hover over the uploaded video.

  2. Click the pencil icon.

  3. Select Edit Video Thumbnail.


Add a Custom Video Thumbnail

To add a custom video thumbnail:

  1. Open the video thumbnail editor.

  2. Click Custom thumbnail.

  3. Upload the thumbnail image.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Custom video thumbnails are currently supported for:

  • Facebook Pages

  • Instagram Business Account

  • LinkedIn Profiles and Pages

  • YouTube Video and Shorts


Connect More Social Accounts

To connect additional social accounts:

  1. Open Social Planner settings using the gear icon.

  2. Click Connect Social.

  3. Choose the platform to connect.

  4. Follow the authorization prompts.

Supported connection options may include Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Community.


Common Issues and Fixes

I cannot publish a post

Confirm that at least one social account is connected. Publishing is not available until a social account is connected.

A connected account shows as expired

Reconnect the social account from Social Planner settings. Expired tokens can prevent publishing.

My template post is not scheduled

Confirm that a social account, posting day, number of posts, and time range were selected before clicking Schedule Posts.

I do not see the option to edit a video thumbnail

Hover over the video media item in the composer. The edit option appears on the uploaded video thumbnail.

Can I use Social Planner before connecting social accounts?

Yes. You can explore scheduling, CSV upload, evergreen posts, recurring posts, RSS posts, and templates before connecting accounts.

Do I need to connect a social account to publish?

Yes. A connected social account is required to publish posts.

Can I schedule posts from templates?

Yes. Select a template, click Continue, choose the social account, and schedule the post.

Can I create posts without a template?

Yes. Click New Post, select Create New Post, and compose your custom post.

Which platforms support custom video thumbnails?

Custom video thumbnails are supported for Facebook Pages, Instagram Business Accounts, LinkedIn Profiles and Pages, and YouTube Video and Shorts.
