How to Use the Social Planner to Post Facebook Reels and Stories

Kyrios Social Planner lets you create, schedule, and publish Facebook Reels and Stories directly from one centralized posting workflow.

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios users who manage Facebook Pages and want to:

  • Schedule Facebook Reels in advance

  • Publish Facebook Stories without logging into Facebook

  • Maintain consistent posting schedules

  • Improve reach and engagement

Prerequisites

Before posting Facebook Reels or Stories:

  • Social Planner must be enabled

  • At least one Facebook Page must be connected

  • You must have publishing access to the Facebook Page

Step 1: Connect Your Facebook Page

  1. Navigate to Marketing β†’ Social Planner.

  2. Click Add New Social.

  3. Select Connect Facebook.

  4. Complete Facebook authentication and choose your page.

Once connected, the page becomes available for posting.

Step 2: Open the Post Composer

  1. In Social Planner, click New Post.

  2. Select Create New Post from the dropdown menu.

This opens the Social Post composer.

Step 3: Select Facebook and Choose Reel or Story

  1. In the Post to field, select your Facebook Page.

  2. Expand Facebook options.

  3. Choose how the post should publish:

    • Reel

    • Story

This determines how the content appears on Facebook.

Step 4: Add Content and Media

  1. Enter your caption in the content editor.

  2. Upload media:

    • Reel: Video content

    • Story: One image or one video

  3. Preview the post in the right-hand panel.

Stories do not support captions published directly on Facebook.

Step 5: Use Follow-Up Comments (Recommended for Reels)

For Reels, links should be added as a follow-up comment instead of the caption.

  • Improves engagement

  • Keeps captions clean

This option is available directly below the content editor.

Step 6: Publish or Schedule the Post

At the bottom of the composer, choose one of the following actions:

  • Post Now

  • Schedule Post

  • Send for Approval

  • Schedule Recurring Posts

  • Add to Queue

Select a date and time if scheduling, then confirm.

Facebook Story Requirements

  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 4 MB)

  • Videos:

    • Minimum: 3 seconds

    • Maximum: 90 seconds

    • Max size: 1 GB

    • Minimum resolution: 540 Γ— 960

Facebook Reel Notes

  • Video-based content is recommended

  • Links should be added via follow-up comments

Additional Notes

  • Stories support only one image or video

  • Thumbnails and OG meta tags are not supported for Stories

No. Scheduling is only supported for Facebook Pages. Group posts publish as regular posts.

How do I edit a scheduled post?

Go to Social Planner, locate the scheduled post, and select Edit.

What file formats are supported for Facebook Stories?
