Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this feature if you want callers to hear a custom voicemail when calls are not answered instead of the default voicemail from a forwarding number.
How to Record Your Voicemail
Kyrios does not provide a built-in voicemail recorder.
Use any online MP3 recording tool.
Record your voicemail message.
Save the file as MP3 or WAV.
Where to Upload Voicemail Files
Voicemail files can be uploaded in two different locations depending on whether the voicemail is for an individual user or for the business.
Option 1: Voicemail for a Specific User
Go to Account → Settings → My Staff.
Click the edit (pencil) icon next to the user.
Scroll down and open Call & Voicemail Settings.
Upload an MP3 or WAV file under Voicemail Messages.
This voicemail plays when the number is assigned to that user and the call times out.
Option 2: Business-Level Voicemail
Go to Account Settings → Phone Numbers.
Click the three-dot menu next to the number.
Select Edit Configuration.

Open Voice → Voicemail & Missed Call Textback.
Upload the voicemail audio file.
This voicemail plays when the number is not assigned to a specific user.
How Voicemail Playback Works
An incoming call rings based on the configured timeout.
If no one answers before the timeout expires, Kyrios plays the uploaded voicemail.
If no voicemail file exists, Kyrios plays a default system message.
Where to Control Timeout Settings
Timeout settings determine how long the call rings before voicemail plays.
Timeouts can be set in three locations.
1. User-Level Timeout
Go to Account → Settings → My Staff.
Edit the user.
Open Call & Voicemail Settings.
Set Incoming Call Timeout.
[Screenshot: image a8.jpg]
2. Phone Number Timeout
Go to Account Settings → Phone Numbers.
Click the three-dot menu.
Select Edit Configuration.
Set the timeout under Call Forwarding.
3. Account-Level Timeout (Fallback)
Go to Account Settings → Phone Numbers → Voice.
Open Voicemail & Missed Call Textback.
Set the incoming call timeout.
Timeout Priority Order
Kyrios checks timeout settings in the following order:
User-level timeout
Phone number timeout
Account-level timeout
If a timeout exists but no voicemail file is found, Kyrios plays this default message:
“We are unable to take your call right now. Please leave a message after the beep.”
Where to Find Call Recordings
Option 1: Call Reporting
Go to Reporting → Call Report.
Locate the Recording column.
Option 2: Conversation View
Open the contact record.
Play the recording directly in the conversation timeline.
Common Issues and Fixes

Reduce the timeout to 1 second and test.
Gradually increase the timeout to find the maximum working value.
Disable Do Not Disturb or instant voicemail on the forwarding number.

Convert to MP3, 64kbps (Economy) if the file is high quality.
Re-upload and retest.
