Use this article if you need to:
Prevent bookings during vacation, PTO, or unavailable hours.
Block time for yourself or another user.
Manage availability without cancelling existing appointments.
Method 1: Block Off Time from the Appointments List
Step 1: Open the Appointments List
Navigate to Calendars.
Open the Appointments list view.
Click New Appointment in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Select “Blocked off time”
In the modal, switch from Appointment to Blocked off time.
Step 3: Configure the Blocked Time
Complete the following fields:
User/Calendar: Select who the blocked time applies to.
Appointment Title: Optional label for clarity.
Timezone: Uses account timezone by default.
Start Time / End Time: Define the unavailable period.
Step 4: Save the Blocked Time
Click Block time to apply the blocked slot to the calendar.
Existing appointments remain unchanged, but new bookings are prevented.
Method 2: Block Off Time Directly from the Calendar
Step 1: Open the Calendar View
Navigate to Calendars.
Select the appropriate User, Calendar, or Group.
Step 2: Add Blocked Time from the Calendar
Click or drag across the date and time range you want to block.
Click + New.
Select Blocked off time.
Adjust details if needed.
Click Block time.
Important Notes About Blocked Time
Blocked time prevents new bookings only.
Existing appointments are not cancelled or removed.
You can block time for other users if you have permission.
You may view one user’s calendar while blocking time for another by selecting the correct user in the modal.

Can I block time off in someone else’s calendar?
Yes. Select the correct user in the User/Calendar field when creating blocked time.
How do I switch between different users’ calendars?
Use the Users filter or calendar dropdown to toggle between users.
What information should I include when blocking time?
Set the correct timezone, start and end times, and optionally add a descriptive title.
Can I block time for multiple users at once?
Blocked time is created per user. You must repeat the process for each user.
What’s the difference between blocked time and a cancelled appointment?
Blocked time removes availability before bookings occur. Cancelled appointments are records of meetings that were scheduled but did not take place.
