What Is Number Intelligence
Number Intelligence (previously called Number Validation) is a phone system feature that enhances inbound and outbound communication by:
Flagging likely spam calls.
Looking up caller names for unknown numbers.
Validating phone numbers before the first SMS is sent.
This feature helps ensure time and messaging costs are spent only on real, reachable contacts.
Availability and Activation Date
Available starting: November 25, 2024
Accounts already using Number Validation will automatically have Number Intelligence enabled on this date.
New accounts can manually enable or disable the feature from settings.

How to Enable Number Intelligence
Step 1: Open Number Intelligence Settings
Navigate to:
Account Settings → Phone System → Additional Settings → Number Intelligence
Enable Gather Intelligence on Unknown Phone Numbers.
Messaging Compliance and Opt-Out Settings
SMS Opt-Out Message
Automatically appends an opt-out instruction (example: Reply STOP to Unsubscribe) to outbound SMS.
Sender Identification
Adds your sender or business name to SMS messages to remain compliant with messaging regulations.
These settings are managed under:
Account Settings → Phone Numbers → Messaging → Messaging Compliance
How Spam Calls Appear in Kyrios
Incoming Call Experience
Calls flagged by the system appear as “Spam Likely” on the web dialer.
The spam indicator is visible before answering the call.
Contact Record Tagging
Spam-likely calls are tagged in the Contacts area for future reference.
Provides transparency into why a call was flagged.

How to Disable or Opt Out
Opt Out Before Release

Account Settings → Phone Numbers → Messaging
Disabling the feature prevents future usage charges.
Common Issues and Fixes
Spam Calls Still Ringing
Spam calls are flagged but not auto-blocked.
Users must manually decline flagged calls.
No Caller Name Displayed
Name Lookup depends on data availability.
Some international or private numbers may not return a name.

Will I see a caller’s name if they are not in my contacts?
Yes. Name Lookup retrieves available caller name data even if the number is not saved as a contact.
