Who This Is For / When to Use Use this guide if your account sends SMS or MMS from a Toll-Free number and you want higher deliverability, higher send limits, or to remove a "Verification Required" status.

Why Toll-Free Verification Matters

Unverified Toll-Free numbers are subject to strict carrier limits and filtering.

Verification:

  • Improves message deliverability

  • Removes daily, weekly, and monthly send limits

  • Aligns messaging with 10DLC visibility standards

  • Prevents unexpected message blocking

If your Toll-Free number is already verified, no action is required.

Messaging Limits for Unverified Toll-Free Numbers

As of October 1, 2022, industry-wide limits apply to unverified Toll-Free numbers:

  • Daily limit: 2,000 messages

  • Weekly limit: 12,000 messages

  • Monthly limit: 25,000 messages

These limits are subject to change.

Once a Toll-Free number is submitted for verification, these limits no longer apply while the request is pending or approved.
