How to Integrate Adyen Payments in Kyrios

This article explains how to connect Adyen as a card payment provider in Kyrios by entering live or sandbox credentials and setting Adyen as the default payment integration.

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios account admins who want to:

  • Accept card payments using Adyen.

  • Connect an existing Adyen merchant account.

  • Test payments using Adyen sandbox credentials before going live.

Supported Payment Method

  • Credit cards

  • Debit cards

Other Adyen payment methods are not currently supported.

Prerequisites Before You Start

You must have:

  • An active Adyen merchant account.

  • Approval from Adyen to process payments.

  • At least one Company API Key (Live or Sandbox).

  • Your Adyen Live URL Prefix (for live mode only).

Step 1: Open Payment Integrations in Kyrios

  1. Go to Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Payments.

  3. Select Adyen from the list of available providers.

  4. Click Connect.

Step 2: Enter Adyen Credentials

Kyrios separates Live and Sandbox credentials. You can configure one or both.

Live Mode Fields

Enter the following:

  • Company API Key

  • Live URL Prefix

Click Save after entering both fields.

Sandbox Mode Fields

Enter the following:

  • Company API Key

Click Save to store sandbox credentials.

Step 3: Set Adyen as the Default Payment Provider

  1. After saving credentials, click Set as default.

  2. Adyen will now be used for:

    • Payment links

    • Checkout flows

    • Card-based transactions

This setting applies at the account level.

Step 4: Test or Accept Live Payments

  • If Sandbox credentials are connected, you can test card transactions.

  • If Live credentials are connected, real payments will be processed through Adyen.

Kyrios checkout pages automatically adapt based on the mode used.

Common Issues and Fixes

Payments Fail in Live Mode

  • Confirm the Live URL Prefix is correct.

  • Ensure the API key is a Live key, not Sandbox.

Sandbox Payments Do Not Process

  • Verify the Sandbox API key is active in Adyen.

  • Confirm you are using test card details.

Adyen Does Not Appear in Checkout

  • Ensure Adyen is set as the default payment provider.

  • Confirm the checkout supports card payments.
