Advanced Filters for Custom Objects

Advanced Filters let you refine Custom Object records using multiple field-based conditions with AND/OR logic for precise data views.

  • Users working with Custom Objects who need precise record filtering.

  • Anyone searching by Owner, Followers, date fields, or custom object fields.


Accessing Advanced Filters

  1. Navigate to the Custom Objects list view (example: Cars).

  2. Click Advanced Filters in the top toolbar above the table.

Result:
The Advanced Filters panel opens on the right side of the screen.


Selecting Filter Fields

  1. In the Advanced Filters panel, use Search Field to quickly find a field.

  2. Expand field groups such as:

    • Other Details

      • Owner

      • Followers

      • Created At (IST)

      • Updated At (IST)

    • Custom Object sections (example: Car Info)

  3. Click a field to add it as a filter condition.

Notes:

  • Both default fields and custom object fields are supported.

  • Field availability depends on the Custom Object configuration.


Configuring Filter Conditions

  1. Choose a comparison operator (example: Is any of).

  2. Select or enter the value(s) for the condition.

  3. Click + AND or + Add Filter to add additional conditions.

  4. Combine conditions using AND / OR logic as needed.


Applying or Clearing Filters

  1. Click Apply to update the Custom Object list.

  2. Click Clear Filters to remove all applied conditions.

  3. Use the delete icon next to a condition to remove a single filter.

Result:
The list updates immediately based on the applied filters.


FAQ

Can I filter using custom object fields?

Yes. Any field created within the Custom Object is available in Advanced Filters.

Can I use multiple conditions at once?

Yes. You can combine multiple filters using AND / OR logic.

Are filters applied globally?

No. Filters only apply to the current Custom Object list view.

What time zone is used for date filters?

All date fields use IST, as displayed in the field labels.
