Use this if you want website visitors to start conversations on Facebook Messenger or Instagram DMs instead of web chat
What Are Facebook & Instagram Chat Widgets
Facebook and Instagram Chat Widgets are single-channel chat widgets.
Facebook Chat Widget: Redirects visitors to Facebook Messenger.
Instagram Chat Widget: Redirects visitors to Instagram Direct Messages.
Each widget supports only one platform. You must create separate widgets if you want both Facebook and Instagram.
Before You Start
You must have access to the Facebook Page or Instagram account you want to connect.
The Facebook Page or Instagram account must be connected to your Kyrios account.
Create a New Chat Widget
Go to Sites.
Open Chat Widgets.
Click + New.
Choose the Chat Type
In the Select the type of chat modal, choose one option:
Facebook Chat
Instagram Chat
Configure Facebook Chat Widget
Open the Chat Window tab.
Under Facebook Chat Setup, select a Facebook Page.
If no page is connected, click Connect a linked Facebook page.
Connect a Facebook Page
Click Connect a linked Facebook page.
Select the page you want to use.
Click Connect.
Configure Instagram Chat Widget
Open the Chat Window tab.
Under Instagram Chat Setup, select an Instagram account.
If no account is connected, click Connect a linked Instagram account.
Save the Chat Widget
Click Save in the top-right corner.
Embed the Chat Widget on Your Website
Open the saved chat widget.
Click Get Code.
Copy the embed code.
Paste the code into your website or funnel.
How the Widget Works for Visitors
Visitors click the chat widget on your website.
They are redirected to:
Facebook Messenger for Facebook Chat widgets.
Instagram DMs for Instagram Chat widgets.
Conversations continue inside the native Meta platform.
Common Issues and Fixes
Widget does not redirect to Messenger or Instagram
Make sure the widget is saved after connecting the page or account.
No Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts appear
Confirm the account has admin access and is connected under integrations.
Wrong page or account opens
Edit the widget and select the correct Facebook Page or Instagram account.
FAQ
Can I use one widget for both Facebook and Instagram?
No. Each widget supports only one chat type. Create separate widgets for Facebook Chat and Instagram Chat.
What happens if I don’t have a Facebook Page or Instagram account connected?
You will be prompted to connect one during widget setup.
Can I change the connected page or account later?
Yes. Open the widget, go to the Chat Window tab, and select a different connected page or account.
Does this widget support live web chat?
No. Facebook and Instagram Chat Widgets only redirect visitors to Messenger or Instagram DMs.
Can I customize the widget design?
Yes. Styling options are available under the Style tab before saving the widget.
