Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this article if you want to control which communication channels (Live Chat, SMS/Email, Voice AI, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) appear inside a single chat widget on your website.

What’s New in the All-in-One Chat Widget

The All-in-One Chat Widget now supports Facebook, Instagram, and Voice AI as selectable channels, in addition to existing chat options.

These channels can be enabled or disabled directly from the Chat Type selector, allowing full control over the visitor’s chat experience.

Where to Configure Chat Channels

Chat channels are configured from the Style tab of an All-in-One Chat Widget.

How to Enable Facebook, Instagram, and Voice AI Channels

You can choose which channels appear in the widget using the Chat Type selector.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Sites > Chat Widget.

  2. Open an existing All-in-One Chat Widget or create a new one.

  3. Select the Style tab.

  4. Locate the Chat Type field.

  5. Select any combination of the following options:

    • Live Chat

    • SMS / Email

    • Voice AI

    • Facebook

    • Instagram

    • WhatsApp

  6. Click Save.

Only the selected channels will be available to website visitors.

How the Widget Preview Works

The widget preview updates instantly as chat types are selected or removed.

This preview reflects exactly what website visitors will see when opening the chat widget.

What Website Visitors See

Visitors are shown a guided list of available chat options based on your selections.

If a channel is not selected in the Chat Type settings, it will not appear as an option inside the widget.

Why This Matters

Centralizing multiple channels inside one widget improves both setup control and the customer experience.

Key benefits:

  • Consolidates multichannel communication into a single widget

  • Gives businesses full control over which channels are offered

  • Creates a consistent and guided experience for visitors

  • Supports Facebook and Instagram messaging alongside Voice AI

Channel Availability Requirements

Some chat options only appear when their corresponding integrations are active.

  • Facebook and Instagram appear only if the connected pages/accounts are authorized

  • Voice AI appears only if Voice AI is configured in the sub-account

  • WhatsApp appears only if a WhatsApp number is connected

If a channel does not meet these requirements, it cannot be selected.
