How to Set Up Your First Affiliate Manager Campaign

Create and publish an affiliate campaign that generates unique affiliate links, tracks referrals, and pays commissions automatically.

Use this guide if you:

  • Are creating your first affiliate campaign

  • Want affiliates to promote a funnel or website link

  • Need to define commission rules and payout timing

What Is an Affiliate Campaign?

An affiliate campaign defines how affiliates promote your business and earn commissions.

Each campaign controls:

  • The referral link affiliates share

  • Which products earn commission

  • Commission percentage

  • Payout frequency

  • Cookie life

Affiliates can join multiple campaigns, and each campaign provides a unique affiliate link.

Before You Start (Required)

An affiliate campaign cannot go live unless:

  • At least one affiliate is added

  • Stripe is connected for payouts

You can save a campaign in draft and complete it later.

How to Create an Affiliate Campaign

Step 1: Open the Campaigns Page

Navigate to:

Marketing → Affiliate Manager → Campaigns

Click the + Add button.

Step 2: Enter Campaign Details

Fill in the required campaign fields:

  • Campaign Name – Internal identifier

  • Referral/Lead Signup Link – Funnel or website URL affiliates will share

  • Campaign Description (optional)

This link is where affiliate traffic is sent.

Step 3: Configure Commission and Payout Settings

Set the following:

  • Pay-out Frequency – When affiliates are paid

  • Commission Percentage – Commission per sale

  • Cookie Life – Number of days the referral cookie remains active

These rules apply to all affiliates in the campaign.

Step 4: Create the Campaign

Click Create Campaign to save the campaign.

Once created:

  • The campaign appears in the campaigns list

  • Enrolled affiliates receive an email with their unique affiliate link

Campaign Status Explained

Campaigns can appear in two states:

  • Active – Campaign is live and tracking

  • Paused – Campaign exists but is not live

A campaign may be paused if:

  • Stripe is not connected

  • No affiliates are added

Affiliate Campaign Requirements

Each affiliate campaign requires:

  • Campaign Name

  • Referral Funnel or Website URL

  • Affiliates added to the campaign

  • Commission Percentage

  • Payout Frequency

  • Cookie Life

Without these, the campaign cannot publish.

Where Affiliates Get Their Links

Affiliate links are available in two places:

  1. Automatically emailed when the campaign goes live

  2. Inside the affiliate profile:

    • Open Affiliate Manager

    • Select the affiliate

    • Choose the campaign from the dropdown

    • Copy the affiliate link shown

When to Create Multiple Campaigns

Create separate campaigns if you need different:

  • Landing pages or funnels

  • Products tied to commissions

  • Affiliate groups

  • Commission percentages

  • Payout frequencies

Example:

  • Campaign A: Standard affiliates at 20% commission

  • Campaign B: Influencers at 30% commission

Common Issues and Fixes

Campaign Will Not Publish

Check the following:

  • Stripe is connected

  • At least one affiliate is added

Campaign Is Created but Not Tracking

  • Confirm affiliates are sharing the correct campaign link

  • Ensure the funnel URL is correct
