Who This Is For / When to Use
Users creating new booking calendars
Teams managing multiple calendars with similar names
Anyone who wants faster calendar setup without manual URL checks
What Is a Calendar Slug?
A calendar slug is the URL-friendly identifier used in booking links, for example:
/widget/bookings/sales-onboarding-call
Each calendar must have a unique slug.
What’s New with Auto-Generated Slugs
Automatic Slug Creation
When you enter a calendar name, Kyrios automatically generates a slug based on that name.
Guaranteed Uniqueness
If a slug already exists, Kyrios automatically adjusts it to ensure uniqueness, even when calendars share the same name.
Manual Editing Still Available
You can manually edit the slug before saving the calendar if you prefer a custom value.
How Auto-Generated Slugs Work
Enter a Calendar Name.
Kyrios instantly creates a matching slug in the Custom URL field.
You may:
Keep the generated slug, or
Edit it manually before confirming the calendar.
Important Behavior to Know
Auto-generation happens only during calendar creation.
Editing the calendar name after creation does not update the slug automatically.
Existing calendar slugs are not changed.
Why This Matters
Faster setup: No need to manually test URL availability
Fewer errors: Prevents duplicate or conflicting booking links
Consistency: Slugs stay aligned with calendar names by default
Control: Manual customization is still supported when needed
FAQ
When is the slug generated?
The slug is generated automatically when the calendar is first created.
Will changing the calendar name update the slug?
No. Updating the calendar name later does not overwrite the existing slug.
Can I edit the slug manually?
Yes. You can modify the slug manually before saving the calendar.
What happens if two calendars have the same name?
Kyrios automatically adjusts the slug to ensure each one remains unique.
Does this affect existing calendars?
No. Existing calendars and their slugs remain unchanged.
