Who This Is For / When to Use
This article is for users hosting funnels, websites, webinars, or e-commerce pages in Kyrios who want improved uptime, faster load times, and automatic fallback during outages.
What Changed
Kyrios has upgraded its hosting infrastructure to add multiple layers of availability and caching.
Your pages can now continue loading even if backend services are temporarily unavailable.
How Reliability Is Improved
Kyrios now relies on three independent reliability layers:
Server Cache: Serves the latest published version of your pages and refreshes automatically when updates are made.
Cloudflare Edge Cache: Distributes cached versions of pages globally and serves them during brief or regional outages.
Always Online Backup: Displays an archived version of the page from the Internet Archive if Cloudflare cannot reach the origin server.
These layers work automatically and require no manual configuration.
What Is Edge Caching with Stale Cache Strategy
With Edge Caching enabled:
Pages are cached across Cloudflare’s global network.
If the origin server is temporarily unavailable, Cloudflare serves a recent cached version.
Users see a working page instead of an error screen.
This approach prioritizes availability over hard failures.
What Is Cloudflare Always Online
Always Online is a fallback mechanism used in rare cases when Cloudflare cannot access the site origin.
Instead of showing an error page:
Cloudflare serves a previously archived version of the page.
Visitors can still view content until normal service resumes.
Key Benefits
Higher uptime across all sites and funnels
Faster and more consistent page load speeds
Automatic recovery after outages
No setup required for most accounts
Action Required: Domain Migration
If your domains are not yet migrated to Cloudflare, these improvements will not apply.
To enable them:
Go to Settings → Domains & URL Redirects.
Look for the banner indicating speed and security improvements.
Click Fix Now.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete domain migration.
Common Issues and Fixes
Banner shows “improvement required”
The domain is not yet migrated to Cloudflare. Complete the migration steps to enable caching and reliability features.
Changes not visible immediately
Cached pages may take a short time to refresh. Updates propagate automatically.
Seeing an older page version during downtime
This is expected behavior when stale cache or Always Online is serving a fallback page.
FAQ
Do I need to enable Edge Caching manually?
No. Edge caching is automatically enabled once your domain is migrated.
Will visitors see outdated content?
Only during temporary outages. Once services resume, the latest version is served automatically.
Does this affect all site types?
Yes. Funnels, websites, webinars, and e-commerce pages all benefit from this upgrade.
What happens when everything is fully online?
Visitors always receive the most recent published version of your pages.
Is Cloudflare Always Online used frequently?
No. It is a last-resort fallback used only during rare connectivity failures.
