Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this if you:

  • See Migrate domain next to a domain in Settings → Domains & URL Redirectors

  • Want improved performance and security by routing your domain through Cloudflare

  • Need an alternative manual option because your domain provider doesn’t support Domain Connect

What Migrating Does

Migrating a domain to Cloudflare through Kyrios:

  • Updates your domain’s DNS routing to Cloudflare

  • Does not change your funnel/website content or settings inside Kyrios

Benefits of Migrating to Cloudflare

  • Speed: Kyrios funnels/websites can load faster (Kyrios estimates ~15% improvement).

  • Security: Improved protection (including DDoS mitigation).

  • Caching: Faster repeat visits via optimized caching.

  • SSL: Cloudflare provides SSL after migration (your site remains HTTPS).

Option 1: One-Click Migration (Domain Connect)

Step 1: Start Migration

  1. Go to Settings → Domains & URL Redirectors.

  2. Find the domain you want to migrate.

  3. Click Migrate domain.

Step 2: Complete the Domain Connect Prompts

  1. Enter/confirm the domain or subdomain in the migration popup.

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Follow the on-screen authorization prompts from your domain provider (Domain Connect).

Step 3: Confirm Migration

After authorization completes, Kyrios applies the DNS updates automatically and your domain is now routed through Cloudflare.

Option 2: Manual Migration (Unsupported Providers)

Use this option if your provider does not support Domain Connect.

Step 1: Start Migration

  1. Go to Settings → Domains & URL Redirectors.

  2. Click Migrate domain for the domain you want to migrate.

Step 2: Add DNS Records at Your Domain Provider

Add/update these DNS records in your domain provider’s DNS settings:

  • CNAME → point to: sites.ludicrious.cloud

  • Apex (root) A record → point to: 162.159.140.166

Step 3: Authorize the Domain in Kyrios

  1. Return to the Kyrios migration screen.

  2. Confirm the DNS values shown match what you added at your provider.

  3. Click Authorize domain.

Step 4: Confirm Migration

Once Kyrios verifies the DNS updates, your domain is successfully migrated to Cloudflare.

Common Issues and Fixes

“Authorize domain” fails

Cause: DNS records were not added correctly or haven’t propagated yet.
Fix:

  • Confirm the CNAME points to sites.ludicrious.cloud

  • Confirm the Apex A record points to 162.159.140.166

  • Wait for DNS propagation, then try Authorize domain again

Domain Connect doesn’t appear or can’t be completed

Cause: Your provider may not support Domain Connect for this domain.
Fix: Use Option 2: Manual Migration.

Will my funnel/website break?

Answer: No. Migration updates DNS routing only. Your Kyrios funnel/website configuration remains the same.
