Step-by-Step Domain Connection Process

Use this guide to connect a domain in Kyrios using automatic provider authorization or manual DNS records.

Choose What You Want to Connect

In Kyrios, go to Settings → Domains, then click Connect a Domain. You will see the available domain connection options.

Use Funnel / Website / Store / Blog / Webinar when the domain should load public-facing pages built in Kyrios.

Connect a Domain Automatically

Use the automatic method when your domain provider supports provider authorization. Supported providers may include Google Domains, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or other supported DNS providers.

  1. Go to Settings → Domains.

  2. Click Connect a Domain.

  3. Select the Kyrios product you want to connect.

  4. Enter the root domain or subdomain.

  5. If available, click Authorize.

  6. Complete the authorization steps in your domain provider account.

  7. Return to Kyrios after authorization is complete.

  8. Wait for Kyrios to validate the DNS records.

Automatic connection adds the required DNS records for you when authorization is supported.

Connect a Domain Manually

Use the manual method when your domain provider does not support automatic authorization.

  1. Go to Settings → Domains.

  2. Click Connect a Domain.

  3. Select the product you want to connect.

  4. Enter the domain or subdomain.

  5. Click Add record manually.

Add the Manual DNS Records

After clicking Add record manually, Kyrios displays the DNS records that must be added to your domain provider. Copy each record exactly as shown.

Add the records inside your domain provider’s DNS settings.

Common records include:

  • A record for the root domain

  • CNAME record for www or another subdomain

  • TXT record for verification or email authentication when required

After adding the records, return to Kyrios and click Verify records.

Troubleshoot Domain Connection Errors

Kyrios may show a DNS error if conflicting, missing, or incorrect records are found.

Multiple A records found

This means the domain has more than one A record, where Kyrios expects only the required A record. Remove extra A records from your DNS provider, then verify again.

AAAA record conflict

This means an AAAA record is blocking the required Kyrios setup. Remove all AAAA records for the affected host, then verify again.

CAA records block issuance

This means the domain has CAA records that prevent Kyrios from issuing the SSL certificate. Remove conflicting CAA records or add the required certificate authority record, then verify again.

DNS records do not match

This means Kyrios cannot find the required A or CNAME record. Confirm the host and value match exactly, then verify again.

Common Issues and Fixes

The domain is not verifying

DNS changes can take time to update. Confirm the records match exactly and wait for propagation.

The domain is connected somewhere else

Remove the domain from the other product, platform, or account before reconnecting it in Kyrios.

The www version does not work

Confirm the CNAME record for www exists and points to the required Kyrios value.

The root domain does not work

Confirm the A record for @ exists and points to the required Kyrios IP address.

FAQ

How long does domain propagation take?

DNS propagation can take a few minutes, but some providers may take up to 24 hours.

Should I use automatic or manual connection?

Use automatic connection when Kyrios offers provider authorization. Use manual connection when your provider is not supported.

Can I connect a subdomain instead of a root domain?

Yes. You can connect a subdomain, such as go.example.com, by adding the required DNS record for that subdomain.

What should I do if verification fails?

Check for conflicting A, AAAA, CNAME, or CAA records. Then confirm the required Kyrios records are copied exactly.

Can one domain be connected to multiple products?

A domain or subdomain should point to one destination at a time. Use separate subdomains for different products.
