Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this when you want dashboard viewers to refine data (by user, status, tags, company, dates, etc.) without granting edit access or impacting other users’ views.
What Are Quick Filters
Quick Filters are dashboard-level filters that:
Are applied per user
Do not require dashboard edit permissions to use
Do not change the dashboard configuration for other users
Work alongside widget-level filters using AND logic
Key Features and Benefits
User-Level Filtering: Each user applies and sees only their own filters.
No Edit Permissions Required (to apply): View-only users can apply existing Quick Filters.
Dashboard Integrity: Prevents accidental dashboard changes.
Reusable Filtering: Filters remain available for repeated use during the session.
Real-Time Updates: Widgets refresh instantly when filters are applied.

How Quick Filters Work with Widget Filters
Quick Filters do not override widget-level filters. They combine using AND logic.
Example
Widget filter: Appointment Status = Confirmed
Quick Filter: Appointment Status = Cancelled
Result: No data, because both conditions cannot be true at the same time.
Best Practice
Use widget filters for fixed, widget-specific logic.
Use Quick Filters for broad, exploratory filtering.
Avoid applying contradictory conditions.
Important Notes
Quick Filters are dashboard-specific.
Maximum of 5 Quick Filters per dashboard.
Filters apply only to widgets using the same data source.
Filters persist for the current browser session only.
Common Issues and Fixes
Filter does not affect a widget
Confirm the widget uses the same data source as the filter.
Check for conflicting widget-level filters.
No data shown after applying filters
Review filter logic for contradictions.
Clear filters and reapply one at a time.
Cannot add Quick Filters
Verify you have Edit or Full access to the dashboard.
