Use coupons if you want to run promotions, limited-time discounts, or special pricing for paid membership offers.
What Are Coupons in Membership Offers
Coupons are discount codes that members can apply at checkout to reduce the price of a paid offer. Coupons work only with Version 2 paid offers and are not supported on free offers.
Coupons can be used for:
Membership offers
Course offers
One-time or recurring payments (optional)
Before You Start
Coupons will work only if:
The offer is a Version 2 offer
The offer is not free
Coupons are enabled on the offer
Step 1: Enable Coupons on an Offer
Go to Memberships
Click Courses
Open Offers from the dropdown
Select the offer you want to edit
Enable Coupon Access
Scroll to the Offer Pricing section
Enable Allow checkouts to access coupons
Save the offer
Once enabled, the checkout page will display a coupon input field.
Step 2: Create a Coupon
Go to Payments
Select Coupons
Click Create Coupon
Configure Coupon Details
Set the following fields:
Coupon name (internal reference)
Coupon code (entered by users at checkout)
Discount type (percentage or fixed amount)
Start date (required)
End date (optional)
Optional Coupon Restrictions
You can optionally:
Limit total redemptions
Restrict the coupon to specific products or offers
Limit usage to one redemption per customer
Apply the coupon to recurring or future payments
Step 3: Redeem a Coupon at Checkout
When coupons are enabled:
Users open the offer checkout page
Enter the coupon code
Click Apply
The discount is immediately reflected in the total amount.
Common Issues and Fixes
Coupon Field Not Visible
Confirm the offer is Version 2
Confirm the offer is not free
Ensure Allow checkouts to access coupons is enabled
Coupon Does Not Apply
Check coupon start and end dates
Confirm the coupon is assigned to the correct offer
Verify redemption limits have not been reached
