Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this feature if you want to add videos or audio to a course post without uploading large media files directly to Kyrios.

What’s New

You can now embed video and audio from supported third-party platforms directly in the Post Edit Page. This allows you to add rich media content by pasting a link or embed code instead of uploading files.

Supported platforms include:

  • YouTube

  • Vimeo

  • SoundCloud

  • Loom

  • Wistia

  • Spotify

  • Mixcloud

Why This Matters

Embedding media gives you more flexibility when creating course content:

  • Avoid large file uploads

  • Reuse existing hosted media

  • Add tutorials, demos, podcasts, or playlists quickly

  • Improve post engagement without increasing storage usage

Embed Media in a Course Post

Step 1: Open the Post Edit Page

  1. Go to Memberships > Courses.

  2. Select a course.

  3. Open an existing lesson or create a new post to access the Post Edit Page.

Step 2: Choose Media Type

  1. In the post editor, select Upload Video or Upload Audio.

Step 3: Add Media Source

You can add media using one of the following options:

  • My Device – Upload a media file directly

  • Link – Paste a supported media URL

  • Embed Code – Paste the embed code from the media provider

Step 4: Embed the Media

  1. Paste the link or embed code.

  2. Click Upload or Embed.

  3. The media will appear instantly in the post preview.

Step 5: Save and Publish

  1. Review the embedded media in the post.

  2. Click Save.

  3. Set the post visibility to Published when ready.

What Learners See

Once published, learners can play the embedded video or audio directly inside the lesson without leaving the course.

Common Issues and Fixes

Media Does Not Display

  • Confirm the platform is supported.

  • Make sure the link or embed code is publicly accessible.

Embed Option Is Disabled

  • Ensure Upload Video or Upload Audio is selected.

  • Refresh the page and try again.

Playback Issues

  • Check the original media source for restrictions.

  • Verify the content is not set to private or restricted by region.
