Who This Is For / When to Use
This guide is for Kyrios users who are unable to publish posts to Google Business Profile through the Social Planner or are seeing publishing or verification errors. Use this article when posts fail, verification is required, or location-based restrictions appear.
Image Requirements for Google Business Profile Posts
Google Business Profile requires images to meet specific format and size requirements before a post can be published.
To avoid publishing failures, ensure that:
Images are in JPG or PNG format
File size is between 10 KB and 5 MB
Minimum resolution is 250 × 250 pixels
Images are directly related to the business, product, or service
Images that do not meet these requirements may cause the post to fail silently or return an error during publishing.
Location Must Be Verified Before Posting
Google requires each Business Profile location to be verified before posts can be published.
If a location is unverified, Kyrios will not be able to publish posts to that profile. Verification status can be checked directly inside Google Business Profile Manager or within Kyrios when selecting the location in the Social Planner.
How to Verify a Google Business Profile Using Video Verification
When Google requires video verification, it must be completed directly inside Google Business Profile Manager.
Step 1: Choose Video Verification
Select Business video as the verification method when prompted by Google.
Step 2: Record the Verification Video
The video must be one continuous recording and include all required elements.
The recording must show:
Your current location (street signs, exterior, or surrounding area)
Your business or equipment (workspace, tools, signage, or branded assets)
Proof of management (access to staff-only areas, equipment operation, or backend systems)
Avoid recording faces or sensitive documents. Videos must be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes.
Step 3: Upload the Video
After recording, confirm all required items are visible and upload the video for review.
Google reviews the submission and updates the verification status once approved.
Posting to Google Business Profiles with Multiple Locations
Google restricts posting for Business Profiles classified as chains.
If a Google Business Profile has more than 10 locations, Google’s API disables posting and Kyrios will not be able to publish posts for that profile.
In this case, Google returns the error:
“This location belongs to a chain. The Local Post API is disabled for this location.”
This is a Google limitation and cannot be overridden within Kyrios.
Common Error Messages and How to Fix Them
“This location belongs to a chain” Error
Cause: The Business Profile contains more than 10 locations.
Fix: Only connect and publish to profiles with 10 locations or fewer.
“Resource Exhausted” Error
Cause: Too many actions or account connections attempted in a short period of time.
Fix: Wait several minutes and retry. Avoid connecting multiple Google Business accounts simultaneously.
“Invalid Website” Error
Cause: The website URL does not meet Google’s formatting requirements.
Fix: Ensure the URL includes the proper protocol (for example, https://) and points to a valid, accessible page.
