Who this is for / When to use

This article is for Kyrios users who accidentally deleted a workflow or need to recover a workflow that was removed within the last 90 days.

What happens when a workflow is deleted

When a workflow is deleted, it is moved to the Deleted tab in the Workflow List and retained for up to 90 days before permanent removal.

  • Deleted workflows are not active or running

  • Deleted workflows can be restored within the 90-day retention window

  • After 90 days, deleted workflows are permanently removed and cannot be recovered

How to restore a deleted workflow

You can restore a deleted workflow directly from the Deleted tab in the Workflow List.

Step 1: Open the Workflow List

Navigate to Automation β†’ Workflows to view all workflows in the account.

Step 2: Open the Deleted tab

Click the Deleted tab to view workflows that were deleted within the last 90 days.

Step 3: Restore the workflow

Locate the workflow to restore and click Restore in the Action column.

Step 4: Confirm restoration

In the confirmation modal, click Confirm to restore the workflow.

After confirmation, the workflow is restored and moved back to the main Workflow List.

State of a workflow after restoration

A restored workflow is returned with its original structure but is not automatically reactivated.

  • The workflow is restored in Draft status

  • All original triggers, actions, and configuration are preserved

  • Contacts that were actively enrolled at the time of deletion are not restored

  • Contacts in any wait steps are removed from execution

You must review and publish the workflow again before it can run.

Deletion and restoration limitations

Certain safeguards apply after restoring a workflow to prevent accidental data loss.

  • Restored workflows cannot be deleted again for 48 hours

  • Attempting to delete during this window displays a restriction notification

  • Workflows remain restorable for 90 days from the original deletion date

Common issues and fixes

The workflow does not appear in the Deleted tab

Only workflows deleted within the last 90 days appear in the Deleted tab. Workflows older than 90 days are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

I cannot delete a workflow I just restored

This is expected behavior. Restored workflows are locked from deletion for 48 hours to prevent accidental removal.

The workflow is not running after restoration

Restored workflows are always returned in Draft status. Open the workflow, review it, and publish it to resume execution.
