Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this article if you create or manage courses in Kyrios Memberships.
Course Tags are useful when you want learners to find the right course faster inside the Client Portal course library.
What Course Tags Do
Course Tags add standardized labels to courses.
Kyrios currently supports course tags for:
Language
Difficulty
Topic
These tags help learners understand what a course is about before opening it.
Course Tags also make the course library easier to browse when many courses are available.
Where Learners See Course Tags
Learners see course tags directly on course cards in the Client Portal course library.
Tags appear on course cards so learners can quickly identify the course language, difficulty level, and topic.
Learners can also use the filter options at the top of the course library to narrow the list of visible courses.
Course Tags are available in both:
All Courses
My Courses
Where Course Creators Add Course Tags
Course creators add Course Tags from the course’s Settings page.
The Course Tags section includes dropdown fields for:
Language
Difficulty
Topic
Each dropdown uses predefined tag options to keep course organization consistent across the library.

To add tags to a course:
Go to Memberships.
Open Courses.

After the course is saved, learners can use the selected tags to filter and discover the course in the Client Portal.
How Learners Filter Courses
Learners can filter courses from the course library.
Available filters include:
Language
Difficulty
Topic
Sort
When a learner selects a filter, Kyrios updates the course list to show courses that match the selected tag criteria.
The filters work in both All Courses and My Courses views.
Why Use Course Tags
Course Tags help create a more organized course library.
Use Course Tags to:
Help learners find courses by language, skill level, or interest.
Make course cards easier to scan.
Keep course categorization consistent.
Reduce the need for manual organization.
Create a more polished course browsing experience inside the Client Portal.
Current Tag Options
Course Tags use standardized, predefined options.
Course creators currently select from available options instead of creating fully custom tags. Custom tag creation is planned for a future update.
Common Issues and Fixes
Learners cannot find a course using filters
Check the course’s Settings page and confirm that the correct Language, Difficulty, and Topic tags are selected. A course must have matching tags for it to appear when learners use those filters.
A course card does not show the expected tags
Open the course’s Settings page and review the Course Tags section.
Update the Language, Difficulty, or Topic fields, then save the course.
I cannot create my own custom course tag
Course Tags currently use predefined tag options.
Custom tag creation is planned for a future update.
Filters are not narrowing the course list as expected
Confirm that the courses in the library have Course Tags assigned.
Filters work best when courses are consistently tagged by Language, Difficulty, and Topic.
