Default options include:

You can use a default option or enter your own custom button text.

How to Customize the Payment Link Button Text
Go to Payments.
Open Payment Links.
Create a new Payment Link or open an existing Payment Link.
Scroll to Advanced Options.
Find Call to action for payment link button.
Open the dropdown.
Select a default option or enter custom button text.
Confirm the checkout preview shows the correct button text.
Save or publish the Payment Link.
Character Limit
Custom button text supports up to 50 characters.
If the text is longer than 50 characters, shorten the label before saving.
Use clear, action-based wording so customers understand what happens when they click the button.
Preview Behavior
The checkout preview updates when the button text is changed. Use the preview to confirm the exact button text customers will see before sharing the Payment Link.
The custom button text appears on the checkout button across customer devices.
When Changes Take Effect
Changes apply to new checkout sessions.
Customers who already have the checkout page open may continue to see the previous button text until they refresh the page.
Common Issues and Fixes
The button text did not change for a customer
Ask the customer to refresh the checkout page.
Button text changes apply to new sessions. A customer who opened the checkout page before the change may still see the previous label.
The custom text will not save
Check that the custom button text is 50 characters or fewer.
Shorten the label and save the Payment Link again.
The checkout button still shows Pay, Book, or Donate
Confirm that custom text was entered under Advanced Options in Call to action for payment link button.
Then save the Payment Link and open a fresh checkout session to test it.
