  4. Repeat for each answer option.

Assign Categories to Answer Options

Categories let you score different parts of a quiz separately. For each answer option, use the Category dropdown to choose where the score should apply.

Category options include:

  • Overall Only

  • A specific category

Use Add / Manage to create or manage categories.

Use Overall Only

Overall only means the answer score counts toward the total quiz score but does not count toward any category score. Use Overall only when an answer should affect the final quiz score but should not be grouped into a specific category.

How Quiz Scoring Is Calculated

Kyrios calculates quiz scores as percentages. Final Score = Selected Score ÷ Maximum Possible Score × 100

This calculation applies separately to:

  • Overall score

  • Each category score

For Single Choice and Single Dropdown questions, the maximum score is the highest available option score. For Multiple Choice and Multi-Select questions, the maximum score is the sum of all selectable option scores.

Common Issues and Fixes

Scores do not add up correctly

Confirm each answer option has the correct score. Check whether each answer is assigned to Overall Only or a specific category.

Category scores are missing

Make sure categories were created and assigned to answer options. Answers assigned to Overall Only do not affect category scores.

The result message is not changing

Confirm Dynamic Content is enabled. Make sure each score tier has content assigned. Confirm score tier ranges cover the full 0–100% range.

The quiz score looks incorrect in Preview

Review the maximum possible score for the question type. For multiple-choice and multi-dropdown questions, the maximum possible score is based on the sum of all selectable option scores.
