What Notes on Custom Objects Are
Notes on Custom Objects allow users to record important information directly on a custom object record. A note can be created on the custom object record itself. A note can also be associated with a related contact or opportunity record, so the same note appears across connected records without creating duplicate copies.
Open the Related Record
Go to Contacts or the relevant CRM area where the related record is stored. Open the record that connects to the custom object record.
Open the Notes Panel
Inside the record, open the Notes panel from the right-side activity toolbar. The Notes panel shows existing notes and includes options to search, filter, and add notes.
Add a Note
Click Add or Add note in the Notes panel. Enter the note details, then save the note.
The note is stored on the record and can be associated with related custom object records when associations are available by clicking "+associated to".
Search Notes
Use the search field in the Notes panel to search notes by keyword or note description. Search helps teams quickly find important history when a record has many notes.
How Associated Notes Work
Associated notes are shared across connected records. When a note is associated with a contact, opportunity, and custom object record, Kyrios shows the same note in each connected place. This keeps one source of truth and prevents duplicate note copies.
Common Issues and Fixes
I do not see the Notes panel
Confirm you are viewing a record page that supports notes. Use the right-side toolbar and select the notes icon.
I cannot find an older note
Use the search field in the Notes panel to search by keyword or note description.
A note appears on multiple records
This can happen when the note is associated with connected records. Associated notes are shared, not duplicated.
