How to Access Custom Object Templates
Go to Settings from the left navigation menu.
Open Objects from the Settings menu.
The Objects page displays your standard objects and existing Custom Objects.
How to Create a Custom Object from a Template
From the Objects page, click Add custom object.
Select Use a template, then click Continue.
Browse the available templates in the Template Library. Use categories, filters, tags, or search to find a matching template.
Select a template to preview its included objects, fields, folders, and associations.
Click Import objects to apply the template.
What Happens After Importing a Template
After importing:
The Custom Object structure is created automatically.
Included fields and folders are added.
Included associations are created.
You can immediately edit the imported objects.
Templates do not create customer records or sample data.
Template Library Visibility Controls
Administrators can manage Template Library visibility settings to control which template categories users can access. Restricting Template Library visibility may prevent users from browsing or importing templates. Objects already created from templates remain editable unless additional permissions are restricted.
Common Issues and Fixes
I cannot see the Template Library
Template visibility permissions may be restricted by an administrator. Check whether your account has access to Custom Object Templates.
I imported a template but do not see records
Templates create CRM structure only. They do not generate contacts, companies, opportunities, or sample records.
I need to modify imported fields or associations
Open the imported Custom Object from Settings → Objects and edit the fields or associations as needed.
