How to Import Content from Another Course
Step 1: Open the Add Content Menu
Go to Courses Builder
Open the course where you want to import content
Click + Add Content
Select Import from another course
Step 2: Select a Source Course
In the import modal, browse or search for a course
Click on the course you want to import from
Step 3: Choose What to Import
Select specific items or structures:
Individual lessons
Modules and submodules
Entire course structure
Use checkboxes to select content
Click Import selected items or Import entire course
Step 4: Track Import Progress
A progress modal will appear
Monitor the import status in real time
Wait until the process completes
Where Imported Content Appears
Imported content is added directly into the destination course:
Modules and submodules appear in the course structure
Lessons, quizzes, and assignments are ready for editing
Media and resources are attached to their respective lessons
What Gets Imported
The following elements are included during import:
Lesson titles and structure
Module and submodule hierarchy
Videos and attached media
Lesson thumbnails
Descriptions and formatted content
Quiz questions and associated content
Assignment materials and resources
Common Issues and Fixes
Import button is disabled
Ensure at least one item is selected
Confirm the source course is accessible
Import is slow or stuck
Large courses may take longer to process
Wait for completion before navigating away
Missing content after import
Verify selected items before importing
Re-run import for any missed modules or lessons

Can I import only specific lessons instead of the full course?
Yes. You can select individual lessons, modules, or submodules using checkboxes before importing.
Does importing overwrite existing content?
No. Imported content is added to the course and does not overwrite existing items.
Can I edit imported content after importing?
Yes. All imported content is fully editable immediately after import.
Are media files included in the import?
Yes. Videos, thumbnails, and attached media are imported along with the lesson content.
Can I import the same content multiple times?
Yes. There are no restrictions on re-importing content into the same or different courses.
