Understanding Email Verification in Kyrios

Email Verification in Kyrios checks whether contact email addresses are valid and deliverable, helping protect sender reputation and improve email deliverability.

Who This Is For / When to Use

  • Businesses sending email campaigns, workflows, or 1:1 emails from Kyrios

  • Accounts that want to reduce bounces and protect domain/IP reputation

  • Teams importing contacts from CSVs, forms, or external sources


What Email Verification Does

Email Verification is a validation process that checks whether an email address:

  • Is correctly formatted

  • Belongs to a valid domain

  • Can receive mail

  • Is not a high-risk or role-based address (for example, info@, support@)

This process runs automatically (if enabled) or can be triggered manually for single or multiple contacts.


How to Enable Email Verification

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Open Business Profile

  3. Under General, enable Verify Email Address when first email is sent to a new contact

Result:
Any unverified email address will be checked automatically before the first email is sent.

If this option is not visible, contact your Kyrios account team for access.


Where to View Email Verification Status

Contact Details Page

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Open a contact record

  3. View the Email field in the contact details panel

Each email shows a clear verification status directly next to the field.


Email Verification Status Indicators

Not Verified

  • Shown when an email has not yet been checked

  • A Verify Here link is available


Invalid

  • Shown when an email fails validation

  • The reason for failure is displayed (for example: role-based mailbox)


Verified

  • Shown when an email passes all validation checks

  • A Re-Verify Here option is available if the email changes


Manual Email Verification (Single Contact)

Use this when you want to verify an email immediately without sending a message.

  1. Open the contact record

  2. Locate the Email field

  3. Click Verify Here or Re-Verify Here

The status updates once the verification process completes.


Bulk Email Verification

Use bulk verification to validate many contacts at once.

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Use a list or smart list to select contacts

  3. Click the Email Verification bulk action

  4. Enter an action name

  5. Click OK, Proceed

Notes:

  • Only primary email addresses are verified

  • Bulk verification runs asynchronously

  • Progress can be tracked from the Bulk Actions page


Email Verification During First Send

When Email Verification is enabled:

  • Any unverified email is checked automatically

  • The email is only sent if verification passes

  • Invalid emails are blocked to prevent bounces

Common Issues and Fixes

Email Shows as Invalid

  • Review the error message shown under the email field

  • Role-based addresses (for example admin@, info@) may fail

  • Update the email and re-run verification


Email Is Still Not Verified

  • Ensure Email Verification is enabled in Settings > Business Profile

  • Use manual verification from the contact record

  • Try bulk verification if the contact was imported


Bulk Verification Is Taking Time

  • Bulk actions run in the background

  • Check the Bulk Actions page for progress updates

Why don’t I see the Email Verification setting?

If the option is missing, your account may not have this feature enabled. Contact your Kyrios account team for assistance.


How often should I verify emails?

  • After importing contacts

  • After acquiring new leads

  • Periodically, especially for older lists


Does bulk verification verify secondary emails?

No. Bulk verification only checks primary email addresses.
