Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this article if:
Emails to contacts are bouncing or failing
You want to understand how Kyrios determines if a contact email is valid
You see Valid or Invalid email indicators on contact records
You manage large or aging contact lists
You want to improve deliverability and list hygiene
How Email Validation Works
Kyrios automatically validates contact email addresses before sending emails.
If an email has never been validated, Kyrios validates it before sending
Each email validation is valid for 90 days
If the last validation is older than 90 days, Kyrios automatically re-validates the email before sending
Validation happens in the background and does not require manual action in most cases
This process helps prevent sending emails to addresses that are likely to bounce.
Manually Checking Email Validation on a Contact
You can manually check a contact’s email validation status from the contact record.
Steps:
Open the contact record
Scroll down the right side of the contact details
Click the envelope icon next to the email field
Email Status Indicators
Green = Valid email address
Red = Invalid email address or previously bounced
If an email is invalid, Kyrios displays the reason for the failure.
What Email Validation Checks For
Kyrios Email Validation checks whether:
The email address syntax is correct
The domain is configured to receive email
The email address exists
The email address is not a high-risk address
The email address is not role-based (for example:
[email protected]or[email protected])
These checks help identify addresses that are likely to fail delivery.
Why Email Validation Is Important
Email Validation helps by:
Reducing email bounces
Maintaining clean and healthy contact lists
Improving open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and click-to-open ratios (CTOR)
Protecting your sending domain and IP reputation
Sending to invalid addresses negatively affects long-term deliverability.
How Email Validation Impacts Deliverability
Email deliverability is directly affected by bounce rates.
When emails bounce repeatedly:
Email service providers lower your sender reputation
Future emails are more likely to land in spam
Some emails may not be delivered at all
By validating contact emails before sending, Kyrios helps prevent these issues and protects future campaign performance.
When You Should Validate Your Email List
Email validation is especially important if:
You imported or inherited an existing contact list
Your contact list has grown significantly
You haven’t sent campaigns in a long time
You notice increasing bounce rates
Regular validation keeps your list healthy and your deliverability strong.
Common Issues and Fixes
Email Shows as Invalid
Cause:
The email failed validation or previously bounced.
Fix:
Confirm the email address with the contact
Update the email field with a corrected address
