Step 1: Create or Open a Form or Survey
Go to Sites > Forms or Sites > Surveys.
Open an existing form/survey or create a new one.
Add standard and custom fields using the left panel.
Adjust styles and layout as needed.
Click Save.
Step 2: Add the Form or Survey to a Funnel Page
Open the funnel step where you want to test the form or survey.
Click + to add an element.
Select Form.
Choose the form or survey you created.
Configure submit or redirect actions if required.
Save the page.
Step 3: Preview the Funnel Step
Click the Preview (eye icon) for the funnel step.
Ensure the form or survey loads correctly on the page.
Step 4: Submit Mock Data
Fill out the form as a test user.
Use dummy values such as:

Submit the form.
Important:
Submitting mock data automatically creates or updates a contact in your account.
Step 5: View Submission Results
Go to Forms/Surveys > Submissions.
Filter by the form or survey you tested.
Locate your test entry.
Step 6: Review Submission Details
Click Submitted At for the test entry.
Review submission details in the right-hand panel.

Contact creation or update
Page, source, and tracking data
What Happens to Mock Data
A contact is created or updated using the submitted email.
All submitted fields appear on the contact record.
Submission data is stored alongside live submissions.
Common Issues and Fixes
I Don’t See My Test Submission
Confirm the correct form or survey is selected in the filter.
Refresh the Submissions page after submitting.
My Test Created a Duplicate Contact
Using a new email address creates a new contact.
Reusing the same email updates the existing contact.
FAQ
Can I delete mock data after testing?
Yes. Locate the contact created from the test submission and delete it manually.
Will submitting mock data affect live submissions?
No. Mock submissions behave like normal submissions but do not impact live traffic or reporting.
Can I test multiple forms or surveys at the same time?
Yes. Submit mock data separately for each form or survey.
Do I need to publish the form or survey to test it?
No. You can submit mock data using Preview mode without publishing.
Can I reuse the same email address for testing?
Yes, but the system will update the existing test contact. Use a new dummy email if you want to test a brand-new contact flow.
