Forms and Surveys Email Verification

Email verification allows you to validate a user’s email address directly within Kyrios forms and surveys using a one-time password (OTP). This ensures accurate email data and improves deliverability and follow-up reliability.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use email verification when you need to:

  • Ensure submitted email addresses are real and accessible

  • Reduce fake or mistyped emails

  • Improve response rates for follow-ups and notifications


Create or Access a Form

  1. Go to Sites from the left navigation.

  2. Open Forms.

  3. Click Add Form.


Choose How to Create the Form

Select one of the following options:

  • Start from Scratch to build a form manually

  • From Templates to use a prebuilt form

Click Create to continue.


Edit an Existing Form

  1. Locate the form in the list.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Edit.


Enable Email Validation on the Email Field

  1. Click the Email field inside the form editor.

  2. Open General Settings on the right panel.

  3. Toggle Validate Email to ON.

When enabled, a Verify Email button appears on the email field.


Verify Email User Experience (OTP Flow)

When a user enters an email address:

  1. They click Verify Email.

  2. An OTP is sent to their email address.

  3. The user enters the OTP in the form.

  4. The user clicks Confirm Code to complete verification.


Submission Behavior After Verification

  • The form submission proceeds only after successful email verification.

  • Verified emails are marked in the submission record.


Email Notifications and Reply-To Email

Kyrios supports custom fields and values in form email notifications.

To enable reply-to email:

  1. Open the Form Notification settings.

  2. Enable Email Notification.

  3. Set Reply-To Email using a custom value such as {{contact.email}}.

This allows recipients to reply directly to the form submitter.


Viewing Verified Email in Submissions

  • Each submission includes a Verified Email indicator.

  • Verified emails are marked as Yes.


Common Issues and Fixes

Email verification email not received

  • Check spam or promotions folder

  • Confirm the email address was entered correctly

User cannot submit the form

  • Email verification must be completed before submission

No. OTP emails are standardized to ensure consistency and deliverability.

What happens if a user does not verify their email?

The form submission will not be accepted until verification is completed.
