Client Portal URL
Each account has a unique Client Portal URL used for direct access.
From the Client Portal overview page, you can copy the URL and share it manually if needed.
Inviting a Client to the Client Portal
Inviting a client creates portal access tied to their email address.
Steps:
Go to Client Portal.
Open Actions.
Click Invite to Client Portal.
Select an existing contact or enter an email address.
Click Send Invite.
The client receives an email with instructions to access the Client Portal.
Sending a Login Email
If a client already has portal access but needs a new login email, you can send one manually.
Steps:
Open Client Portal.
Go to Actions.
Click Send Login Email.
Select the contact.
Click Send.
This sends a secure login email to the selected contact.
Generating a Magic Link
Magic Links allow instant, passwordless access to the Client Portal.
Steps:
Open Client Portal.
Go to Actions.
Click Generate Magic Link.
A unique login URL is generated for the selected contact.
Copying and Sharing a Magic Link
After generation, you can copy the Magic Link and share it directly.
Magic Links:
Are tied to a specific contact
Expire after a short time
Can be regenerated at any time
Magic Link Expiration and Errors
If a Magic Link is expired or invalid, the client will see an error message when attempting to log in.
In this case, the client must request a new Magic Link or use the standard login option.
When to Use Each Access Method
Invite to Client Portal: First-time access for new clients
Send Login Email: Client forgot or lost the original login email
Magic Link: Immediate, temporary access or troubleshooting
Common Issues and Fixes
Client did not receive the invite email
Confirm the contact email address is correct and resend the invite or login email.
Magic Link is not working
Magic Links expire. Generate a new Magic Link and share the updated URL.

Do Magic Links expire?
Yes. Magic Links are temporary and expire after a short time for security reasons.
Can a Magic Link be reused?
No. Once expired or used, a new Magic Link must be generated.
Does inviting a client give them admin access?
No. Inviting a client only grants access to the Client Portal and does not provide internal or admin permissions.
