What Is the Calendar Troubleshooting Tool
The Calendar Troubleshooting Tool allows you to:
View all generated booking slots
See which slots are available or unavailable
Identify the exact reason a slot is blocked
Test availability logic without trial-and-error bookings
The tool first generates all possible slots based on:
Calendar availability
Meeting duration
Meeting intervals
It then marks each slot as available or unavailable based on calendar rules.
How to Access the Calendar Troubleshooting Tool
Go to Settings → Calendars.
Locate the calendar you want to troubleshoot.
Click Troubleshoot Calendar from the calendar actions menu.
Viewing Slot Availability
Once opened, the troubleshooting view displays:
All generated time slots
Availability status for each slot
Reasons for unavailability
Hover over any unavailable slot to see the exact blocking reason.
Common Reasons a Slot Is Unavailable
When hovering over an unavailable slot, you may see one or more of the following reasons:
Minimum Scheduling Notice Requirement
The slot does not meet the required notice period.User Availability
The assigned user is unavailable at that time.Blocked by Another Event
The slot overlaps with an existing appointment.Outside Set Availability
The slot falls outside defined working hours.
Testing Collective and Round Robin Calendars
The tool provides additional insights for Collective and Round Robin calendars.
For these calendar types:
Hovering over an unavailable slot shows how many users are unavailable
Availability updates dynamically as user availability changes
Example behavior:
If 2 out of 3 users are unavailable, the slot is unavailable
If availability improves, the slot status updates automatically
Making Real-Time Adjustments
You can change calendar settings while the troubleshooting view is open.
Steps:
Update calendar settings (availability, buffers, duration, etc.).
Return to the troubleshooting view.
Click Refresh to immediately reflect the changes.
Slot Status Codes and Their Meanings
The troubleshooting tool uses status codes to explain why a slot is unavailable.
Primary Slot Codes
USER – No user is available
COLLECTIVE – One or more users unavailable for a collective booking
CONFLICT – A third-party calendar event blocks the slot
BOOKED – A system appointment already exists
BLOCKED – Time was manually blocked
Additional Slot Codes
NOTICE – Minimum scheduling notice not met
TOOFAR – Slot outside allowed booking date range
DAYLIMIT – Maximum appointments per day reached
SLOTMAX – Maximum appointments per slot reached
BUFFER – Pre/post buffer time applied
DURATION – Appointment duration does not fit
PAST – Slot is in the past
LOOKBUSY – Slot hidden due to Look Busy setting
NO SEATS – Maximum seats reached
RESOURCE – Required resource (room/equipment) unavailable
