Product Collections are groups of products used for organization, display, and automation inside your store.
Kyrios supports two collection types:
Manual Collections
Smart Collections
Each collection type serves a different operational purpose.
Manual Collections
Manual Collections allow you to hand-pick products.
Key Characteristics
Products are added and removed manually
Full control over included products
No automation or rule logic
Best for short-term or curated groupings
When to Use Manual Collections
Seasonal promotions
Limited-time offers
Hand-curated product bundles
Editorial or marketing-driven collections
Smart Collections
Smart Collections automatically manage products using rule-based logic.

Products are included or excluded automatically
Based on defined conditions
No manual product selection allowed
Updates when product data changes
Supported Rule Fields
Rules can be created using fields such as:
Product Title
Variant Title
Price
Inventory / Stock Level
Availability
Validation Rules
Conflicting or invalid rules are blocked
Example of invalid logic:

The system displays an error and prevents saving
Collection Type Rules (Important)
The collection type cannot be changed after creation
Manual Collections cannot become Smart Collections

How to Create a Collection
Step 1: Open Collections
Go to Products
Select Collections
Step 2: Create a New Collection
Click Create Collection
Enter the collection details:

Can I change a Manual Collection into a Smart Collection?
No. Once a collection type is selected, it cannot be changed. You must create a new collection.
What happens if no products match a Smart Collection?
The collection remains empty but valid. Products will appear automatically once rules are met.
Can I manually add or remove products from a Smart Collection?
No. Smart Collections are fully automated and follow only their defined rules.
Can I edit a Manual Collection after it’s created?
Yes. You can add or remove products from a Manual Collection at any time.
Do Smart Collections update immediately?
Smart Collections process updates in the background. Changes may not appear instantly but will update automatically.
What happens if Smart Collection rules conflict?
The system displays an error and prevents the collection from being saved until rules are corrected.
Will Smart Collections remove products when they go out of stock?
Yes. If the collection uses inventory-based rules, products are removed automatically when stock levels no longer meet the criteria.
