Manage App Permissions in the Client Portal

This article explains how to enable or disable apps in the Client Portal, set a default landing page, and manage email notifications and templates.

Access App Permissions in Client Portal Settings

App Permissions are managed from the Client Portal settings area.

Steps

  1. Go to Sites.

  2. Select Client Portal.

  3. Open Settings.

  4. Click App Permissions.

Enable or Disable Apps for the Client Portal

You can control which apps appear in the Client Portal for users.

Available Apps

  • Communities

  • Courses

  • Affiliates

  • Billing & Subscription

  • Contracts

  • Estimates

  • Shared Files

How It Works

  • Enabled apps are visible and accessible in the Client Portal.

  • Disabled apps are hidden, even if users have access elsewhere.

  • Disabling an app does not delete any data.

Steps

  1. Open App Permissions.

  2. Review the list of available apps.

  3. Check or uncheck the box next to each app.

  4. Click Save Settings.

Set a Default Landing Page

You can choose which app users see first when they log in to the Client Portal.

  • Directs clients to the most important app

  • Reduces confusion and extra navigation

  1. Scroll to Select default landing page.

  2. Open the dropdown.

  3. Choose the app you want as the default.

  4. Save your settings.

Access Email Notification Settings

Email notifications for Client Portal apps are managed separately.

  1. Go to Sites > Client Portal > Settings.

  2. Select Email Settings.

Manage Email Notifications by App

You can enable or disable email notifications for specific Client Portal apps.
