Who This Is For / When to Use
Use this action when you want to request reviews automatically after a defined event, such as:
A birthday reminder
A completed appointment
A closed opportunity
A customer lifecycle milestone
This action works for both email and SMS review requests.
Step 1: Create or Open a Workflow
Navigate to Automations β Workflows.
Click Create Workflow, or open an existing workflow from the list.
Step 2: Add or Confirm a Workflow Trigger
In the workflow builder, click Add New Trigger.
Configure the trigger that determines when contacts should receive a review request.
Step 3: Add the Send Review Request Action
Click the + icon below the trigger.
In the Actions panel, search for Send Review Request.
Select Send Review Request under the Communication category.
Step 4: Configure the Send Review Request Action
(Optional) Update the Action Name to change how it appears in the workflow builder.
Select the Review Type:
Email
SMS
Step 5: Customize the Review Message (Optional)
Click the Reputation Settings shortcut inside the action.
Configure the review message layout and content.
This allows you to:
Insert or generate review links
Customize SMS and email messaging
Preview messages on mobile, tablet, and desktop
Step 6: Save the Action
Click Save Action in the bottom-right corner of the action panel.
Step 7: Save, Test, and Publish the Workflow
Click Save in the top-right corner of the workflow builder.
Use Test Workflow to confirm the review request sends correctly.
Toggle the workflow from Draft to Publish when ready.
Common Issues and Fixes
Review request is not sent
Confirm the workflow trigger is firing correctly.
Ensure the contact has a valid email address or phone number.
Verify the review message is configured in Reputation Settings.
Preview does not match expectations
Recheck message formatting in Reputation Settings.
