What the Shopify Order Fulfilled Trigger Does
The Shopify Order Fulfilled trigger runs when Shopify marks an order as fulfilled.
When the trigger fires:
The associated contact is added to the workflow
Workflow actions execute immediately
Filters determine which fulfilled orders qualify
This trigger fires only after fulfillment, not when an order is placed.
Requirements Before Using This Trigger
The following conditions must be met:
A Shopify store must be connected to the account
The order must be marked as fulfilled in Shopify
The workflow must be published
If Shopify is not connected, this trigger will not be available.
Step 1: Create or Open a Workflow
Go to Automations & Workflows > Workflows
Click Create Workflow or open an existing workflow
Enter the workflow builder
Step 2: Add a New Workflow Trigger
In the workflow canvas, click Add New Trigger
This opens the trigger selection panel on the right.
Step 3: Select the Shopify Order Fulfilled Trigger
Use the search bar and type Shopify
Expand the Ecommerce Stores section
Select Shopify Order Fulfilled
The Trigger Setup panel opens automatically.
Step 4: Configure Trigger Settings
Each option below works independently and can be quoted on its own.

Changes only the display name inside the workflow builder

Add Filters (Optional)
Click Add filters to control when the trigger fires.
You can choose between Standard Fields and Custom Fields.

The Cart Value filter lets you target fulfilled orders by total value.
Available operators include:
Equals to

Is empty / Is not empty

Custom Field Filters (Optional)
Custom Fields allow you to use store-specific or operational data.
Examples:
Shipping status fields
Internal fulfillment notes
Custom order identifiers
Custom Fields must already exist in the account.
Save the Trigger
Click Save Trigger to apply the trigger configuration
The trigger is now active in the workflow.
Step 5: Save, Test, and Publish the Workflow
Click Save in the top-right corner
Toggle Publish to enable the workflow
Click Test Workflow to confirm expected behavior
Once published, the workflow runs automatically on fulfillment events.
