How to Create and Customize a Review Widget

Review Widgets let you display customer reviews on your website with full control over layout, content, appearance, and review sources.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use Review Widgets if you want to:

  • Display Google or Facebook reviews on a website

  • Control how reviews look and which ones appear

  • Customize branding, layout, and review filters

  • Embed reviews using a copy-paste code snippet

Accessing Review Widgets

  1. Log in to your Kyrios account

  2. Navigate to Reputation

  3. Click Widgets

  4. Click Create New or select an existing template

Layout Tab: Widget Structure and Review Rules

The Layout tab controls how reviews are selected, summarized, and displayed.

AI Review Summary

Enable AI Summary to display an AI-generated summary above your reviews.

You can choose one summary type:

  • Short – 1–2 sentence overview

  • Detailed – 3–4 sentence expanded summary

  • Action Points – Bullet-point highlights

You can also choose whether the summary appears at the top or bottom of the widget.

Review Source

Select which platforms the widget pulls reviews from, such as:

  • Google

  • Facebook

If no source is selected, reviews are pulled from all connected platforms.

Widget Type

Choose how reviews are displayed:

  • List

  • Grid

  • Masonry

  • Carousel

  • Slider

  • Flash

  • Legacy

Each option controls spacing, scrolling, and layout behavior.

Review Limits and Filters

  • Max Number of Reviews – Limits how many reviews appear

  • Minimum Rating – Shows only reviews at or above the selected star rating

These settings help highlight your strongest reviews.

Powered By

Enable or disable the Powered By label at the bottom of the widget.

Content Tab: Titles, Descriptions, and Header Controls

The Content tab controls the text and header elements shown in the widget.

You can configure:

  • Widget Title (Heading)

  • Description text

  • Header elements:

    • Star rating

    • Total review count

    • “Write a Review” button

Appearance Tab: Branding and Visual Style

The Appearance tab controls how the widget looks.

You can customize:

  • Theme: Light, Dark, or Custom

  • Font selection

  • Colors, including:

    • Primary and secondary widget colors

    • Review background colors

    • Star rating color

    • Border color

    • AI Summary highlight color

Settings Tab: Review Elements and Embed Code

The Settings tab controls review visibility and embedding.

Available options include:

  • Show or hide reviewer icons

  • Show or hide review dates

  • Exclude reviews with no written text

Embedding the Widget

  1. Generate the embed code

  2. Click Copy Code

  3. Paste the code into your website’s HTML where the widget should appear

Saving and Managing Widgets

After configuration:

  1. Give the widget a name

  2. Click Save

  3. Choose to publish immediately or save for later

Can I hide certain review details?

Yes. In the Settings tab, you can hide reviewer icons, review dates, or exclude reviews without text.

Can I customize star colors?

Yes. Star colors can be changed in the Appearance tab under component color settings.
