How to Use Brand Boards in Funnels and Websites

Brand Boards let you apply, manage, and reuse brand, default, and custom colors consistently across funnels and websites using a unified color system.

Updated over 2 months ago

What Are Brand Boards

Brand Boards are a centralized color system used inside the Funnel and Website Builder.

They allow you to:

  • Define reusable Brand Colors

  • Access fixed Default Colors

  • Create page-level Custom Colors

  • Select colors visually or via HEX input

Each color type behaves differently and is designed for a specific use case.

When to Use Each Color Type

Brand Colors

Use Brand Colors when:

  • The color should stay consistent across all pages

  • You want global brand uniformity

  • Multiple funnels or websites share the same branding

Brand Colors appear at the top of the color picker.

Default Colors

Use Default Colors when:

  • You want system-provided colors

  • The color should not change with branding updates

  • You need a quick, static color option

Default Colors are always available and unaffected by Brand Boards.

Custom Colors

Use Custom Colors when:

  • A color is specific to a single page

  • You want the ability to update multiple elements on that page at once

  • You need precise control using HEX values

Custom Colors are editable and reusable within the same page.

How to Access Brand Boards in Funnels and Websites

  1. Go to Sites

  2. Open Funnels or Websites

  3. Open an existing page or create a new one

This opens the Funnel or Website Builder.

How to Open the Color Picker

You can open the color picker in two ways:

  • Select a Section, Button, or Element and use the right sidebar

  • Edit text and click the Text Color option in the inline toolbar

The unified color picker will appear with Brand Colors, Default Colors, and Custom Colors.

Using Brand Colors and Default Colors

Inside the color picker:

  • Brand Colors appear at the top

  • Default Colors appear below them

Click any color to apply it instantly to the selected element.

Using Custom Colors

Apply an Existing Custom Color

  1. Open the color picker

  2. Select a color under Custom Colors

  3. The color applies immediately

Add or Edit a Custom Color

  1. Open the color picker

  2. Select a Custom Color or click to edit

  3. Adjust the color visually or enter a HEX value

  4. Save the update

Any change updates all elements using that Custom Color on the page.

Selecting Colors Using HEX or Color Picker

You can define precise colors by:

  • Entering a HEX value directly

  • Using the visual color selector

  • Adjusting opacity if needed

This is useful when matching exact brand guidelines.

Common Issues and Fixes

Color Changes Did Not Apply Everywhere

  • Ensure you are editing a Custom Color, not a one-off selection

  • Only elements using that Custom Color will update

Brand Colors Are Not Available

  • Confirm Brand Colors are defined in the Brand Board

  • Refresh the builder if changes were made recently

Best Practices

  • Use Brand Colors for core brand identity

  • Use Custom Colors sparingly for page-specific styling

  • Avoid mixing too many color types on the same element

  • Use HEX values for strict brand accuracy
