Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

  • Account owners setting up a new account

  • Teams running time-based campaigns or workflows

  • Users managing calendars, appointments, or reminders

  • Anyone experiencing messages or appointments firing at the wrong time

How Kyrios Uses Time Zones

Kyrios relies on time zones for the following core functions:

  • Campaign Timing: Determines when email and SMS campaigns are sent

  • Appointment Scheduling: Controls how appointment times are booked and displayed

  • Workflows: Governs time-based triggers, waits, and follow-ups

  • Calendar Views: Affects how events and reminders appear to users

Correct configuration is required to prevent delays, early sends, or missed appointments.

Location (Business) Time Zone

The Business Time Zone is the primary reference for the account.

Where to Set It

  1. Go to Settings > Business Profile

  2. Locate the Time Zone field

  3. Select the time zone that matches your physical business location

  4. Click Update

Important: This time zone is used as the default for campaigns, workflows, and calendars unless overridden elsewhere.

User (Personal) Time Zone

Each user can set their own viewing time zone.

Where to Set It

  1. Go to Settings > My Profile

  2. Select your preferred Time Zone

  3. Save changes

This affects how you see appointments and events, not how customers book them.

Calendar Display Time Zone

Calendars can display appointments using the Business Time Zone or a user-selected time zone.

Where to Set It

  1. Go to Calendars

  2. Open Additional Calendar Settings

  3. Under View Appointments In, choose a time zone

  4. Click Save

Note: This setting controls display only. It does not change availability or booking logic.

Why Time Zones Matter (Practical Example)

Reference Time:
Friday, July 2, 2021 – 10:00 am
Sydney, Australia (UTC +10)

Equivalent times:

  • 2:00 am — Paris, France (UTC +2)

  • 5:00 pm (previous day) — Los Angeles, USA (UTC −7)

If the account time zone is incorrect, messages and reminders may send hours earlier or later than intended.
