How to use Text2Pay

Create and send a payment request by generating an invoice link directly from a contact record or conversation in Kyrios.

Before You Start: Connect a Payment Provider

Kyrios cannot generate live payment links unless at least one payment provider is connected to the account.

If this is your first time requesting a payment, you must complete this setup before continuing.

What to Do

  1. Go to Settings > Payments > Payment Integrations.

  2. Connect at least one payment provider:

    • Stripe

    • PayPal

    • Authorize.net

    • NMI

    • Square

    • Manual Payment Methods

  3. Confirm the provider status shows Connected.

Result

Once a payment provider is connected, payment requests, invoices, and live payment links become available throughout Kyrios.

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for users who want to quickly collect a one-time payment from a contact without building a full proposal or automation. Use this when you need to manually request payment via SMS, email, or chat.

How Payment Requests Work in Kyrios

A payment request creates an invoice inside Kyrios and generates a shareable payment link.
You can send this link directly to a contact, and Kyrios tracks the invoice status automatically.


Step 1: Open the Contact or Conversation

  1. Go to CRM > Contacts and open the contact, or

  2. Open an existing conversation in Conversations.

From the conversation composer, click the $ (Payment) icon.


Step 2: Create the Payment Request

The Request Payment modal opens.

  1. Select a product or manually enter an item.

  2. Enter the price and currency.

  3. Add additional items if needed.


Step 3: Review Subtotal, Discount, and Tax

  1. Review the Subtotal.

  2. (Optional) Click Add Discount.

  3. (Optional) Click Add Tax.

  4. Confirm the Amount Due updates correctly.


Step 4: Set the Invoice Due Date

  1. Select an Invoice Due Date (required).

  2. The due date determines when the invoice is considered overdue.


Step 5: Choose Test or Live Mode

Under Additional Options, select one:

  • Test โ€“ Creates a test invoice for internal use (no real payment).

  • Live โ€“ Sends a real payment request to the customer.


Step 6: Preview and Send the Payment Link

  1. Click Preview to review the invoice.

  2. Click Copy link and mark as sent.

  3. Paste the link into the conversation, SMS, or email.


Common Issues and Fixes

Payment icon does not appear

  • Confirm at least one payment provider is connected.

  • Refresh the page after connecting a provider.

Amount Due shows $0.00

  • Ensure at least one item has a price greater than 0.

  • Verify the currency selection.

Customer says they didnโ€™t receive the link

  • Confirm Copy link and mark as sent was clicked.

  • Check the message delivery status in the conversation.
