Using the Optimization Hub in AI Ads Manager

The Optimization Hub allows you to automatically improve performance by rotating creatives, optimizing campaigns, and reallocating budget across campaign groups using AI.

Updated over 2 months ago

Who This Is For

Use the Optimization Hub if you:

  • Are running multiple campaigns

  • Want automated budget allocation

  • Want AI-driven creative testing

  • Want centralized cross-platform optimization

  • Want performance benchmarking across campaigns

What the Optimization Hub Does

The Optimization Hub provides:

  • Campaign-level optimization controls

  • Campaign grouping for cross-platform management

  • Budget reallocation to higher-performing campaigns

  • Centralized reporting and benchmarking

  • Automated creative rotation

Optimization can be enabled or disabled at the campaign level.

Optimization Levels

Optimization operates at multiple levels:

Ad Level

Optimizes individual creatives by testing and rotating variations.

Ad Set Level

Optimizes audience performance and delivery.

Campaign Level

Controls performance improvements within a campaign.

Campaign Group Level

Reallocates budget between campaigns grouped together. Each level contributes independently to overall performance.

Requirements Before Using Optimization

To use campaign group budget optimization:

  • You must have at least two active campaigns

  • Campaigns can be from the same or different platforms

  • Optimization must be enabled at the campaign level

Campaign grouping can be used for reporting only if budget optimization is not enabled.

Accessing the Optimization Hub

To manage optimization and campaign groups:

  1. Go to AI Ads Manager

  2. Click Advertise

  3. Click Reporting

Inside Reporting:

  • Ensure Optimize is turned on

  • Select the $ icon to enable budget optimization

Selecting the $ icon prompts you to:

  • Create a new optimization group

  • Add the campaign to an existing group

Creating an Optimization Group

To create a group:

  1. Navigate to AI Ads Manager β†’ Advertise β†’ Reporting

  2. Ensure Optimize is turned on

  3. Click the $ icon

  4. Choose Create New Group

  5. Name the group

  6. Add campaigns to the group

  7. Save

The group is now active. Campaigns from different platforms can be grouped together.

Adding Campaigns to an Existing Group

To add a campaign:

  1. Go to Reporting

  2. Ensure Optimize is enabled

  3. Click the $ icon

  4. Select an existing group

  5. Confirm

The campaign is now included in the group.

Enabling or Disabling Optimization

Optimization is toggled at the campaign level.

To enable:

  1. Open the campaign

  2. Turn Optimize on

To disable:

  1. Open the campaign

  2. Turn Optimize off

If Optimize is off, the campaign will not participate in automated budget shifting. Groups can still be used for reporting without budget optimization.

Budget Optimizer

The Budget Optimizer reallocates spend toward higher-performing campaigns inside a group.

When enabled:

  • AI evaluates engagement, conversions, and cost efficiency

  • Budget shifts toward better-performing campaigns

  • Lower-performing campaigns receive reduced allocation

This works across supported platforms.

Manual budget micromanagement is reduced.

Optimization Timing

Optimization follows a defined evaluation schedule:

  • Initial analysis period: up to 3 days

  • Ongoing optimization reviews: every 2 days

  • Recommended evaluation window: 15 days

After 15 days, you should have enough performance data to:

  • Pause underperforming campaigns

  • Increase spend on high performers

  • Launch additional variations

Results are not immediate. Optimization requires performance data.

Optimize For Me (Creative Rotation)

Optimize For Me manages creative testing.

When enabled:

  • AI rotates creatives automatically

  • Underperforming ads are reduced

  • Creative fatigue is detected

  • High-performing ads receive more delivery

You can include:

  • Up to 50 images

  • Up to 50 videos

To activate:

  1. Open a campaign

  2. Go to Optimization & Insights

  3. Turn on Optimize For Me

  4. Add additional creatives if needed

  5. Save changes

Creative rotation operates independently from budget optimization.

Centralized Reporting in Optimization Groups

Each optimization group provides:

  • Performance timeline

  • Benchmark comparisons

  • Visibility into optimization actions

  • Full list of included campaigns

This allows cross-platform performance evaluation in one location.

Removing a Campaign from a Group

To remove:

  1. Go to Reporting

  2. Open the optimization group

  3. Locate the campaign

  4. Remove it from the group

The campaign immediately exits group-level budget optimization.

Common Issues and Fixes

Budget Is Not Shifting

Confirm:

  • Optimize is turned on at the campaign level

  • The $ icon is selected

  • At least two active campaigns exist

No Optimization Activity Visible

Allow up to 3 days for initial analysis.

Performance Not Improving

Ensure sufficient creative variations and budget levels.

FAQ

Do campaigns need to be on the same platform?

No. Campaigns from different platforms can be grouped together.

How long before I see results?

Initial adjustments typically begin after the first 3 days.

Does creative rotation require budget optimization?
