Use this when you want to control the email sent to a contact after they complete a Membership offer checkout and receive login credentials.
How Membership Welcome Emails Work in Kyrios
Kyrios can send Membership login credentials using:
A system-generated email configured in Membership settings, or
A custom Workflow email triggered on new signup
Only one method should be active at a time to avoid duplicate emails.
Option 1: Customize the System-Generated Welcome Email (Membership Settings)
This option sends an automatic email immediately after checkout using a selected email template.
Step 1: Open Membership Email Settings
Go to Communities & Memberships.
Click Courses.
Open Settings from the dropdown.
Select Email Settings.
Step 2: Enable the Welcome Email
Under Sign-up, toggle Send Welcome Email ON.
Click the Default Template button to open template selection.
Step 3: Select an Email Template
Choose a template from the Select Template dropdown.
Click Save.
Important Notes
The Default Template cannot be viewed or edited directly.
To customize content, you must create your own email template using the Email Builder.
This email automatically includes login credentials.
Option 2: Send a Customized Welcome Email Using a Workflow
This option provides full control over content, layout, and custom values.
Step 1: Open Workflows
Go to Automations & Workflows.
Click Workflows.
Click Create Workflow or edit an existing one.
Step 2: Add the “New Signup” Trigger
Click Add New Trigger.
Select New Signup.
Apply filters if needed (for example: Offer = Memberships).
Save the trigger.
Step 3: Add a Send Email Action
Click Add Action.
Select Send Email.
Step 4: Configure the Email Action
Enter:
From Name
From Email
Subject
Choose a template or write custom content.
Save the action.
Step 5: Insert Membership Custom Values
In the email editor, open Custom Values.
Scroll to the Membership Contacts section.
Insert:
Member Email
Member Password
Login URL (Magic Link), if needed
These values automatically populate credentials for the contact.
Required Setting When Using a Workflow
If you use Option 2, you must disable the system-generated email.
Disable the System Email
Return to Membership Email Settings.
Toggle Send Welcome Email OFF.
This prevents duplicate welcome emails.
