Workflow Action: Add Contact Followers

The Add Contact Followers workflow action automatically assigns one or more internal users as followers to a contact record.

Who This Is For / When to Use

Use this action if you want to:

  • Automatically assign sales reps, account managers, or support users to contacts

  • Ensure internal stakeholders receive updates on specific contacts

  • Standardize follower assignment based on workflow events

What the Action Does

When this action runs, Kyrios:

  • Adds selected users as followers on the contact

  • Does not create duplicate followers if the user is already following

  • Applies immediately when the workflow reaches this step

Step 1: Open or Create a Workflow

  1. Go to Automation

  2. Click Workflows

  3. Select an existing workflow or click Create Workflow

Step 2: Add the Add Contact Followers Action

  1. In the workflow canvas, click the + icon

  2. Select Add Action

  3. Search for Add Contact Followers

  4. Click to add the action

Step 3: Configure the Action

  1. (Optional) Rename the action for clarity

  2. Open the Followers dropdown

  3. Select one or more users to add as followers

Only internal users can be added as followers.

Step 4: Save the Action

  1. Click Save Action

  2. The workflow will proceed to the next step or end

Scenario: Sales Team Collaboration

Objective:
Automatically assign followers when a contact submits a form.

Workflow Setup

  • Trigger: Form Submitted

  • Action: Add Contact Followers

  • Followers: Sales Representative and Account Manager

Important Behavior and Limits

  • Followers are added only once per user

  • The action does not remove existing followers

  • Contacts are not notified when followers are added

  • There is no impact on contact ownership
