Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios users who want to automatically control which users follow a contact based on workflow logic. Use this feature when assigning ownership, routing contacts, or managing internal visibility without manual updates.

What Contact Follower Automation Does

Contact follower automation allows workflows to programmatically add or remove users as followers on a contact. Followers receive visibility and updates on the contact without requiring manual assignment.

This feature is available as workflow actions and runs automatically when the workflow executes.

Available Workflow Actions for Contact Followers

Kyrios provides two workflow actions specifically for managing contact followers.

  • Add Contact Followers – Adds selected users as followers on the contact

  • Remove Contact Followers – Removes selected users or all followers from the contact

These actions can be used in any workflow that operates on contacts.

How to Add Contact Followers Using a Workflow

The Add Contact Followers action automatically assigns users as followers when the workflow runs.

  1. Open an existing workflow or create a new one.

  2. Add an action and select Add Contact Followers.

  3. Enter an action name (optional).

  4. Select one or more users to add as followers.

  5. Save and publish the workflow.

When the workflow executes, the selected users are added as followers to the contact.

How to Remove Contact Followers Using a Workflow

The Remove Contact Followers action removes followers from a contact automatically.

  1. Open an existing workflow or create a new one.

  2. Add an action and select Remove Contact Followers.

  3. Choose whether to remove:

    • All followers, or

    • Only selected users

  4. Save and publish the workflow.

The workflow removes followers each time it runs based on the selected option.

When to Use Each Action

Use Add Contact Followers when contacts need to be monitored by specific team members automatically, such as account owners or support agents.

Use Remove Contact Followers when follower access should be cleaned up, reassigned, or restricted after a workflow event.

Common Issues and Fixes
