What the Google Ads Conversion Pixel Does

The Google Ads conversion pixel tracks when a user completes a desired action after clicking an ad.

Tracked actions may include:

  • Form submissions

  • Purchases or checkouts

  • Account registrations

  • Booking confirmations

Kyrios automatically generates the conversion snippet for Google Ads. You do not need to create one manually inside Google Ads.

Tracking Methods Overview

Kyrios supports two conversion tracking methods. Choose page load tracking whenever possible.

Method 1: Page Load Tracking (Recommended)

Page load tracking fires when a user reaches a specific success or thank-you page.

Why This Is Recommended

  • Most reliable tracking method

  • Simple to implement

  • Less prone to browser or script issues

  • Automatically triggers when the page loads

Best Use Cases

  • Form submissions

  • Purchases

  • Account sign-ups

  • Booking confirmations

Requirement

You must have a dedicated thank-you or success page that loads after the conversion is completed.

Method 2: Button Click Tracking (Alternative)

Button click tracking fires when a user clicks a specific button on a page.

When to Use This Method

  • A thank-you page is not available

  • The conversion happens on the same page

Important Notes

  • Use only if page load tracking is not possible

  • Requires placing the snippet on the page where the button exists

  • More sensitive to site structure or JavaScript changes

Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to create your Google Ads conversion pixel:

  1. Navigate to Connect Platforms

  2. Open the Google Ads connector

  3. Scroll to the bottom and open the Advanced dropdown

  4. Select Conversion Snippet

  5. Click Create Conversion Snippet

  6. Enter a clear conversion name and choose the correct conversion category

  7. Select your tracking method:

    • Page Load (recommended)

    • Button Click

  8. Copy the generated conversion snippet

  9. Paste the snippet into:

    • Your thank-you page (page load tracking)

    • The page containing the target button (button click tracking)

Once installed, Google Ads will begin recording conversions automatically.

Common Issues and Fixes

Conversions Not Showing in Google Ads

  • Confirm the snippet is published on the live page

  • Verify users are reaching the thank-you page

  • Check that the correct tracking method was selected

Duplicate or Inflated Conversions

  • Ensure the snippet is installed only once

  • Avoid placing the snippet on pages that reload multiple times

Button Click Tracking Not Firing

  • Confirm the snippet is placed on the correct page

  • Ensure the button ID or selector has not changed

  • Test the click event manually
