How to Set Up Google Ads Conversion Actions with Kyrios Workflows

This guide explains how to create Google Ads offline conversion actions and connect them to Kyrios workflows so Google Ads can accurately track leads, purchases, calls, and chats generated from ad clicks.

Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios users running Google Ads who want to track offline conversions such as form submissions, purchases, phone calls, surveys, or chat interactions using Kyrios workflows and Google Ads conversion imports.

Step 1: Create a New Conversion Action in Google Ads

A Google Ads conversion action defines what offline event Google should count as a conversion when triggered by Kyrios.

  1. Log in to Google Ads.

  2. Go to Tools & Settings → Conversions.

  3. Click + New conversion action.

Select the Conversion Source

Choose Import to upload conversions from another system.

Select What to Import

  1. Select CRMs, files, or other data sources.

  2. Choose Track conversions from clicks.

Skip Data Source Connection

Select Skip this step and set up a data source later. Kyrios will send conversions via workflows.

Step 2: Set the Conversion Goal

The conversion goal tells Google Ads how to categorize and optimize the conversion.

  1. In Goal and action optimization, open the goal category list.

  2. Select Converted lead (Recommended).

If your UI looks different, still choose Converted lead as the conversion goal.

Step 3: Name the Conversion Action

The conversion name must exactly match the name used later in Kyrios workflows.

  1. Enter a clear conversion name (example: Click).

  2. Copy and save this name exactly as written.

Important: The conversion name is case‑sensitive. Any mismatch will cause workflow errors.

Step 4: Configure Conversion Value

Conversion values allow Google Ads to measure performance.

Choose one option:

  • Use the same value for each conversion

  • Use different values for each conversion

  • Don’t use a value (not recommended)

Step 5: Configure Count, Window, and Attribution

These settings control how Google records conversions.

Count

Select One to count only the first conversion per ad click. This is recommended for leads.

Click‑Through Conversion Window

Set the window to 90 days.

Attribution Model

Select Use attribution in Google Ads and choose First click.

Click Create and continue, then Done.

FAQs

How do I know my Google Ads conversion is working?

Check the workflow Execution Logs. Successful executions confirm the conversion was sent.

Does this work with all workflows?

No. Only Form Submission, Order Purchases, Surveys, Incoming Calls, Number Pool Calling, and Chat Widget triggers are supported.

What are GCLID, WBRAID, and GBRAID?

These are Google click identifiers added to URLs after ad clicks. Kyrios requires at least one of these IDs on the contact record to send a conversion to Google Ads.
