Troublesbleshooting Sticky Contacts for Forms and Calendars

This article explains how to fix issues where Sticky Contacts do not pre-fill or carry contact information between forms, calendar booking pages, and funnels in Kyrios.

Updated over 3 months ago

Who this is for / When to use

This guide is for Kyrios users who expect contact information to auto-fill between forms and calendar bookings but notice missing, incorrect, or inconsistent pre-filled data.

Why Sticky Contacts is not working between a form and a calendar

Sticky Contacts fail when the correct form and calendar elements are not used consistently across funnel steps.

To fix this:

  1. Use the Form element on the page where the user submits contact details.

  2. Use the Calendar element on the booking page instead of a custom embed.

  3. Do not mix a native form with an embedded calendar or vice versa.

  4. Save and republish the funnel.

How to ensure Sticky Contacts is enabled for forms

Sticky Contacts must be explicitly enabled in form settings to store contact data.

To verify:

  1. Go to Sites β†’ Forms.

  2. Open the form in the builder.

  3. Click Settings.

  4. Enable Sticky Contact.

  5. Save the form.

How to ensure Sticky Contacts is enabled for calendars

Calendar booking forms must have pre-population enabled to receive Sticky Contact data.

To enable this:

  1. Go to Calendars.

  2. Edit the calendar.

  3. Open Forms & Payment.

  4. Enable Pre-populate fields (sticky contacts).

  5. Save the calendar.

Using custom embed codes with Sticky Contacts

Sticky Contacts work with embed codes only when both the form and calendar use the same embed method and domain.

To avoid issues:

  1. If the form uses an embed code, the calendar must also use an embed code.

  2. Host both embeds on the same domain.

  3. Avoid mixing embedded elements with native funnel elements.

How to test Sticky Contacts after troubleshooting

Sticky Contacts should automatically pre-fill form data on the calendar page.

To test:

  1. Clear browser cache or open an incognito window.

  2. Fill out the form with new contact details.

  3. Proceed immediately to the calendar page.

  4. Confirm the contact fields are pre-filled.

If the data appears, Sticky Contacts is working correctly.

Why Sticky Contacts does not work in incognito mode or after clearing cookies

Sticky Contacts rely on browser cookies to store contact information.

Important notes:

  • Clearing cookies removes stored contact data.

  • Incognito or private browsing disables persistent cookies.

  • Users should complete the flow in one session for best results.

Why pre-filled data is incorrect or outdated

Outdated data appears when old cookie data is reused by the browser.

To fix this:

  1. Clear browser cookies and cache.

  2. Refresh the page.

  3. Submit the form again with new information.

  4. Retest the calendar booking step.
