How to Use Branded Domains in Kyrios

Branded Domains allow each Kyrios account to use a unique domain for outbound links and communications, improving brand consistency and protecting deliverability.

Updated over 3 months ago

Who This Is For / When to Use

This article is for Kyrios users who want outbound links—such as invoices, forms, and calendar links—to display their own branded domain instead of a shared system domain. Use this when setting up or updating domain-level branding for an account.

What Branded Domains Are

Branded Domains let an account connect a unique domain that Kyrios uses for outbound links and system-generated URLs. This ensures that client-facing links reflect the business’s brand instead of a shared Kyrios domain.

Each account uses its own branded domain, which isolates reputation and prevents deliverability issues caused by other accounts using shared domains.

Why Branded Domains Matter

Using a shared domain across multiple accounts can negatively affect brand trust and email deliverability if another account’s reputation declines.

With Branded Domains:

  • Each account has its own domain reputation

  • Outbound links appear professional and consistent

  • Email and link deliverability are better protected over time

  • Client-facing assets clearly reflect the business brand

Step 1: Set Up the Branded Domain

To begin, the domain must be prepared at the DNS level and added to the Kyrios account.

Steps

  1. Create a CNAME record at your domain provider

    • Point the record to:
      brand.ludicrous.cloud

    • This record is required for domain verification and authentication.

  2. Open Account Settings in Kyrios

    • Go to Settings → Business Profile / Info.

  3. Add the branded domain

    • Enter the domain in the Branded Domain field.

    • The domain must include the link. prefix.
      Example: link.yourdomain.com

Step 2: Authorize the Domain

Once the domain is added, Kyrios must authorize it.

Authorization Options

  • Automatic authorization
If the domain is hosted with a supported provider (such as GoDaddy), Kyrios automatically creates and authorizes the required DNS records.

  • Manual authorization
For providers like Cloudflare or Squarespace, manually create a CNAME record pointing to:
    brand.ludicrous.cloud

The value you copy into your DNS provider comes directly from the Kyrios interface and will show as:
brand.ludicrous.cloud

Step 3: Verify the Domain

After authorization, the domain must be verified.

  • Automatic verification
If DNS records were created automatically, Kyrios verifies and connects the domain without further action.

  • Manual verification
If DNS records were added manually, confirm that the CNAME record is correctly configured and pointing to brand.ludicrous.cloud. Once detected, Kyrios completes verification.

Step 4: Confirm the Result

After successful connection, the branded domain is applied automatically across the account.

All outbound links—including invoices, forms, and calendar links—will now display the branded domain, creating a consistent and professional client experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Branded Domains?

Branded Domains allow an account to use its own domain for outbound links and system-generated URLs, ensuring brand consistency and isolating deliverability reputation.

How do Branded Domains improve deliverability?

Each account sends links and communications from its own domain instead of a shared domain. This prevents deliverability issues caused by other accounts and allows reputation to build independently over time.

How do I add a Branded Domain in Kyrios?

Create a CNAME record pointing to brand.ludicrous.cloud, then add the branded domain (with the link. prefix) in Settings → Business Profile / Info.

What if my domain provider does not support automatic setup?

Manually add a CNAME record pointing to brand.ludicrous.cloud in your DNS settings, then verify the configuration.

How do I know if my Branded Domain is verified?

Once DNS records are detected and validated, Kyrios automatically connects the domain and applies it across outbound communications.

Why is the link. prefix required?

The link. prefix ensures correct routing and authentication for Kyrios-generated links. This structure is required for proper functionality across communication channels.

What changes once the Branded Domain is connected?

Invoices, forms, calendar links, and other outbound URLs will display the branded domain instead of a shared system domain.

Does adding a Branded Domain automatically improve sender reputation?

It does not instantly improve reputation, but it prevents your deliverability from being affected by other accounts. Consistent use over time strengthens reputation with email providers.

What should I do if manual DNS setup fails?

Confirm the CNAME record points exactly to brand.ludicrous.cloud, includes the link. prefix, and contains no extra characters. If issues continue, contact support.

Where will my branded domain appear?

The branded domain appears on invoices, forms, calendar links, and other outbound account communications.
