How to Review Core Web Vitals

The Core Web Vitals section shows key performance indicators used to evaluate page experience. Review each metric and prioritize any item shown in red or marked as poor.

How to Review the Page Health Report

The Page Health Report separates findings for the Desktop Report and the Mobile Report.

Each report groups checks into:

  • Should Fix

  • Consider Fix

  • Passed

Use these groups to decide which performance issues need attention first.

How to Expand Page Health Findings

Click View beside a Desktop or Mobile report to expand the findings. Expanded findings explain the issue, why it matters, and what can be improved.

Common Issues and Fixes

Mobile score is lower than the desktop score

Mobile performance is often affected by large images, heavy scripts, slow-loading fonts, or layouts that are not optimized for smaller screens. Start by reviewing image size, plugin load impact, and third-party scripts.

A report does not show data yet

Click Fetch Report to generate a new report. If no data appears after fetching, confirm that the WordPress site is published and accessible.

A plugin affects performance

Plugins can affect page speed, interactivity, and loading behavior. Review installed plugins and remove or replace unnecessary plugins that add heavy scripts or duplicate functionality.

FAQ

Does the Website Performance Report work for WordPress sites not hosted in Kyrios?

The Website Performance Report is designed for WordPress sites hosted through Kyrios WordPress Hosting.

Why did my lab score improve, but Core Web Vitals did not change right away?

Lab test results can be updated quickly after changes are made. Core Web Vitals may take longer to reflect changes because they can depend on visitor experience data over time.

What should I check first if mobile scores are much lower than desktop?

Start with image dimensions, image compression, critical CSS, mobile layout behavior, and third-party scripts.

Can plugins affect performance scoring?

Yes. Heavy or conflicting plugins can affect page speed, responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.
